It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the different player card types in eFootball, since the game releases a lot of packs. This guide will help you understand all the different types of cards you can collect in eFootball 2026.
Types of Player Cards in eFootball 2026
1. Standard Player Cards
Overview

In eFootball, Standard Player Cards represent players as they are normally, with stats reflecting their real-life abilities. You can improve these cards by leveling them up, upgrading their stats, and adding new skills. While they’re the most basic type of card, they’re also the easiest to obtain.
How to get
Okay, so getting new players is pretty straightforward. The best way to do it is through Contracts. You can hit up the Standard Player List and sign players using GP, or you can use Standard Player Tickets – you earn those through Events, and they give you a random player. Sometimes, special events will even give you players for free, which is awesome!
2. Featured Player Cards
Overview

Next up are Featured or Special Player Cards. These aren’t the same as Trending Cards – they’re a separate type of card with updated stats and skills. You can also train them and improve them using Progression Points, but they are considered quite rare.
How to get
You can get special featured cards through various promotions. Often, these are offered as part of club events, either as a set of cards or through Player Packs. Sometimes, you’ll also find them available in limited-time ‘Chance Deals’ for premium packs, giving you a few free attempts before requiring you to use your Coins.
3. Highlight Player Cards
Overview

I’m not sure why KONAMI handles these cards differently from Featured Players, since they’re quite similar. These cards are given out often.
How to get
You can get Highlight Cards through events and campaigns, but Nominating Contracts also offer Special Player Cards that you can sign and develop. Konami has been generous with free cards in the past, so we can likely expect more freebies in the future.
4. Trending Player Cards
Overview

Trending Player Cards include both Player of the Week (POTW) cards and special event cards. Unlike Featured Cards, you can’t improve these cards through training. You can’t use Trainers, Position Boosters, or Skill Tickets on them. While they start with high overall ratings, this lack of training ability can be a disadvantage compared to Featured Cards, which can be developed further.
How to get
Each week, new POTW cards become available in the contract section. You can earn one for free by finishing the Tour Event that starts every Thursday.
5. Legendary Player Cards
Overview
Fans used to get really excited about Legend and Iconic Player cards in older PES games – getting one felt like a major achievement. While those cards are still valuable, Epic cards are now the most sought-after and popular cards in the game.

These cards feature either dark gold or pink backgrounds, and both versions are now classified as Legendary. They remain highly effective for your team. Importantly, they won’t be changed by Live Updates, so they always maintain a “B” Live Condition Rating.
How to get
Getting those cards has always felt like a long shot. We occasionally get small boosts from the eFootball Shop, but they don’t significantly change the game.
6. Epic Player Cards
Overview

Epic Player Cards highlight players who’ve achieved significant accomplishments throughout their careers. While most cards feature retired legends, some current players are included as well. These cards showcase a key moment from a player’s career, with stats reflecting their overall performance during that time. Epic cards always have a fixed Live Condition Rating of ‘B’.
How to get
These cards are the highest quality in the game and are usually found in 150-player Coin Box Draws. You might also occasionally get them through special Chance Deals during in-game campaigns. Player Packs can also be a source, depending on which cards are currently offered.
7. Big Time Player Cards
Overview
Like Epic Cards, Big Time Player Cards highlight a player’s best performance in a single game. They capture a player at their peak, and often include the date of that memorable match on the card itself.

Big Time cards generally have better stats than Epic cards, showing how well a player performed in a specific game. Similar to Epic cards, they always keep a permanent “B” Live Rating.
How to get
As a Big Time fan, I’m really excited about getting my hands on these new cards! It looks like the way to collect them is pretty much the same as with Epics – you can get them through Box Draws, Player Packs, Events, and by playing through the Campaigns. Seems straightforward enough, and I’m already planning my strategy!
8. Show Time Player Cards
Overview

Show Time cards are a special, premium type of Highlight card. These cards feature unique skills visible in the Player Skills section. While they boast impressive stats, their Condition Rating is tied to how well the player performs in real life.
How to get
You can get Show Time cards via Box Draws, Player Packs, Events, and Campaigns.
