eFootball 2025 ‘The Art of Passing’ April 2025 Nominating Contract Review

Story Highlights

  • eFootball 2025 brings in ‘The Art of Passing’ Nominating Contract this April 2025.
  • The pack includes decent options like Ederson, Grimaldo, and Kane.

In April 2025, eFootball 2025 introduces another themed Nominating Contract, named ‘The Art of Passing’. This pack highlights players who control the game’s tempo with their passing skills, and it’s not just midfielders, but forwards and even a goalkeeper are included as well.

Although the deck doesn’t contain an array of groundbreaking beasts, it does boast some enticing cards, particularly for those fond of strategy centered around possession. Let’s analyze this roster to identify which cards might be worthy additions to your NC collection.

eFootball 2025 ‘The Art of Passing’ Nominating Contract Pack: List of players

Harry Kane

  • Position: CF
  • Playstyle: Deep-Lying Forward

This card is quite interesting! It’s not often we find a deep-lying Kane card with some speed to it. While it’s not exceptionally fast, its ability to handle the ball well is a plus. Other than a moderate balance, this card appears to be almost flawless.

His skillful positioning, impressive hold-up play, and exquisite finishing make him an extraordinary player. Push him further back, and he’ll effortlessly execute one-touch passes to advancing wingers with proficiency. He’s also adept at flicks and layoffs, making him highly effective if you structure your team around him.

Ederson Moraes

  • Position: GK
  • Playstyle: Offensive Goalkeeper

Discussing successful ball play always involves acknowledging the importance of a skilled goalkeeper who embodies love for the game, and Ederson is an excellent example. This contemporary player, known for his swift reactions, excels at quickly moving off his line and using precision with his feet to send the ball accurately to the attackers for quick counterattacks.

Initially, this individual was my top choice among the group, and he certainly lived up to expectations. However, I noticed a potential enhancement in his ability to handle near-post shots, but I felt his response time could be quicker. It’s possible that by improving his reflexes, I may have compromised his goalkeeping skills slightly.

Hakan Calhanoglu

  • Position: CMF
  • Playstyle: Orchestrator

Among the three choices I made, Hakan truly stood out to me. He embodies the role of an orchestrator flawlessly – one who controls the pace, maintains possession, and sends delightful long passes. Visualize him as a skillful deep-lying playmaker capable of delivering lethal set pieces.

In a possession-oriented setup, I found him exceptionally fluid, particularly when it came to quick, central passes and transitions to the wings. One thing I appreciate about this player is his versatility; he can be deployed almost anywhere on the field. However, I personally think he shines best as a Central Midfielder, maintaining high-quality passing, which I believe is his ideal position.

Alejandro Grimaldo

  • Position: LB
  • Playstyle: Full-back Finisher

My third and ultimate choice is this card – Grimaldo. This player might not seem captivating initially, but once you use him, the charm unfolds. Grimaldo is a typical swift attacking full-back, brimming with energy. Despite his compact stature, he’s easy to maneuver and swiftly turn around. And with his speed, he can make sudden dashes forward.

Initially, while constructing this card, I had the feeling it was underutilized at the Left Back position. If KONAMI assigned it a Cross Specialist ability, it would have transformed into an exceptionally potent card. However, I’ve opted for its LMF build instead, and I find it performs admirably in a supporting wide midfielder role.

Junya Ito

  • Position: RWF
  • Playstyle: Prolific Winger

It seems to me that while the statistics suggest the card may not be particularly standout, it could still appeal to those who choose it due to its speed, dribbling skills, and creative passing abilities. However, being somewhat lightweight, it doesn’t align with my preference for a winger. Yet, it might prove effective as a super substitute.

Jan Paul van Hecke

  • Position: CB
  • Playstyle: Build Up

If you prefer a possession-based game style, this player excels as a defender. However, playing with a high defensive line could be risky due to his mediocre pace and defending abilities. To enhance his skills, tokens are required, which I find might not be worth the investment. In a Defensive Midfielder setup, I found him somewhat useful but not overly impressive.

Whom should you opt for in the eFootball 2025 ‘The Art of Passing’ April 2025 NC Pack

Well, after analysing all the cards from the pack, here are my rankings of the six cards.

TierPlayers
SSS (Overpowered)None
S (Strong)Harry Kane, Ederson
A (Good)Calhanoglu, Grimaldo
B (Average)Ito
C (Below Average)van Hecke

This package surpasses the March NC pack in quality, boasting excellent selections and even impressive starter cards. The initial four choices are exceptional, making it a wise decision to utilize your NCs in this instance.
