In terms of inventiveness and accuracy in the midfield, Michel Platini truly shines as a creative mastermind, a fact that those who have witnessed him play are well aware of. As a Holup Player, he excels in intricate midfield positions, seamlessly connecting attacks with his extraordinary ball handling and passing abilities. His dribbling is remarkably fluid, and with his vintage Single Booster card, he can effortlessly maneuver past defenders.

Platini stands out due to his knack for controlling the game’s pace and maintaining a goal-scoring potential simultaneously. His shooting skills are impressive, capable of delivering lethal finesse shots on target, boosted by high Finishing and Curl attributes. Additionally, he boasts useful finishing skills like Long Range Shooting and First Time Shot to aid him in various scenarios.

Currently, it appears that his “Phenomenal Pass Show Time” skill is more of a title than a true representation of his abilities. While he undeniably possesses exceptional passing skills, it seems that he has been struggling with misplaced passes quite frequently, which is unusual given my expectations. However, I still appreciate him in the role of a striker due to his knack for outmaneuvering defenders.

Eric Cantona

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Deep-Lying Forward
  • Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing

The United-style successor of Cantona hasn’t had ample opportunity to acclimate yet, and another player showing up is a given. However, this newcomer comes with a Show Time ability which makes him slightly superior. Yet, Cantona was an exceptional player who seldom lost his balance.

Beyond the heading aspect, which is already strong, it seems challenging for most forwards to achieve, but Cantona excels as an exceptional all-around striker. He’s skillful with the ball, boasts exceptional passing skills uncommon among strikers, showcases impressive agility, manages the ball well physically, possesses elite finishing skills, and has a swift burst of speed. Essentially, he combines creativity and goal-scoring prowess, a rare trait in forwards.

His ball control skills are truly impressive, if I may add. I’ve rated it at nearly 90%, and yet, he maintains an effortless touch on the ball. His base speed is already quite fast, so it’s best to keep it high to avoid a decrease in his Offensive Awareness. Position him as a central forward in a two-forward formation with a Goal Poacher, and he will undoubtedly command the field with his prowess.

Diego Forlan

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher

One of my all-time favorite cards was the PES 2021 rendition of Diego Forlan, who was an Iconic Moment card representing Manchester United. Using this card recently stirred up some nostalgia. In eFootball 2025, there are several strikers with exceptional finishing skills, and one I’d love to see again is Diego Forlan.

As a Goal Scorer Extraordinaire, he’s often found in high-risk zones, waiting for the perfect moment to convert any goal opportunity that comes his way. His abilities, upon closer inspection, embody all the essential traits of an elite striker, positioning him among the most lethal finishers on the field. Unlike a player who relies on dribbling and shooting, he excels more as a master of the final pass. While he possesses impressive dribbling skills and outstanding balance, it’s his knack for making decisive passes that truly sets him apart.

Forlan consistently finds the mark with precision in his shots. His striking force is top-notch, allowing him to fire powerful, long-range rockets. He has various shooting techniques, such as dipping or knuckleball, which adds an element of surprise. I’d recommend enhancing his physical contact slightly to make him more effective within the current game meta.
