eFootball 2025 European Clubs Guardians pack review

In the ongoing game, eFootball 2025, the selection of Epic packs is carried forward, with a new emphasis on dominant defensive strategies. This time around, the spotlight falls on the European Clubs Protectors Pack. With an excess of forwards and attackers in the game, it’s refreshing to see some top-tier defenders making their appearance, such as legendary defenders Fabio Cannavaro, Bixente Lizarazu, and Giorgio Chiellini. The anticipation is high among players to see if these defensive legends can indeed fortify defenses and prove their worth in terms of investment. Here’s my perspective on how these three players fare in the eFootball 2025 European Clubs Guardians Pack review.

Epic cards from the European Clubs Guardians pack in eFootball 2025

In a similar fashion, this collection contains 150 cards, and among them are three Epic cards. Two of these Epics exhibit the Show Time ability, whereas the third one is just an ordinary Epic card.

Fabio Cannavaro

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Showtime Skill: Fortress

Officially the highest-rated player in the game, any version of Cannavaro is an absolute defensive machine. I have his Italy single booster version, and given this new card is a healthy upgrade, it will be even better. His aggressive style means he doesn’t give attackers any breathing room, constantly pressing and forcing mistakes. He’s fantastic in 1v1 situations, rarely letting a striker turn or get a clean shot off.

In the air, he holds his own, but he’s not the one you’d pick for a battle against towering forwards. My older player excels at it and jumps well, but taller strikers will still manage to win their fair share of aerial duels with him. However, despite a dip in heading prowess with this updated card, his jump is exceptionally high, so I don’t think that affects his overall performance negatively.

In terms of physicality, he’s quite robust and boasts an exceptional balance for a defender – with some additional speed enhancement, which he’s already been granted, he could make a fine Right Back as well. I believe the current development is satisfactory, but there’s room for minor adjustments to enhance his heading ability, although his vertical leap has surpassed the 1-meter mark.

Bixente Lizarazu

  • Position: LB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
  • Showtime Skill: Edged Crossing

If you’re using the free “Edged Crossing” edition of Ben White, you’ll be thrilled to know that Lizarazu offers a swift and improved passing upgrade for a card. Lizarazu performs just as an elite attacking full-back should, with speed, aggression, and a constant drive to advance. His pace is remarkable, and when he reaches those wide zones, his passes are precise due to the Show Time skill.

In a defensive sense, he’s reliable but not unyieldingly strong. Facing physical wingers may pose some challenges for him due to his low physical prowess. However, his positioning is commendable, provided he isn’t left alone. His endurance is exceptional, and considering his playstyle, I believe the Left Midfielder (LMF) role in a 3 ATB formation would suit him best. If he also had the Cross Specialist playstyle, I think it could be a decisive advantage.

Giorgio Chiellini

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer

Giorgio Chiellini obtains an Epic card, while Luis Suarez no longer invites bite jokes. On the review side, he embodies a robust defensive enforcer. Standing tall and powerful, he mirrors the style of traditional center-backs with his no-nonsense approach, delivering uncompromising defensive supremacy. He nearly always emerges victorious in physical confrontations, making shielding a delightful experience with him. His tackling is assertive yet impeccably clean, and remarkably, he has not been issued a red card in the 20 matches I’ve observed.

From an aerial perspective, he’s quite formidable. Whether it’s corners or long passes, he tends to claim the majority of them. However, his speed isn’t his strongest suit, so if he’s found far up the field, it can be challenging for him to regroup. He excels on teams that prefer a more defensive strategy and count on their center-backs as immovable obstacles. If you’re in need of a robust, commanding defender who effectively thwarts attacks, Chiellini is the player you should consider.

Best pick from European Clubs Guardians pack in eFootball 2025

In another excellent selection, all three options are solid choices. If you’re searching for the top-rated defender not just as a versatile option but also due to the card’s incredible danger level, then you won’t err by choosing Cannavaro. The Ballon d’Or victor version is widely considered the best defensive player, with Chiellini coming in a strong second.
