- The new round of National Guardians Epic pack arrives in eFootball 2025.
- The Epic versions of Beckenbauer, Buffon and van Bronckhorst has been featured in this 150-player pack,
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve just received a new pack for the eFootball 2025 game, and guess what? The Epic National Guardians are back for another run, but with an exciting twist! There’s a fresh roster of players to choose from this time. For those who value a solid defense, there are three legendary players hailing from their respective positions: Franz Beckenbauer, Gianluigi Buffon, and G. van Bronckhorst. Can’t wait to see them in action!
In games overflowing with offensive players, finding a strong defensive pack is scarce; however, the Epic National Guardians pack in eFootball certainly stands out as one of the finest. After scrutinizing the players closely, here’s my take on this pack.
National Guardians Epic pack in eFootball 2025
The arrangement has 150 players grouped in a grid-like formation, and every set of three contains three Epic cards. Among these, two possess the “Show Time” skill, whereas the remaining one is just an ordinary Epic card.
Franz Beckenbauer
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Showtime Skill: Fortress
It seems I’ve been anticipating the Beckenbauer CB card for quite some time now, but Konami doesn’t appear eager to release it. Regardless, when played, this card truly excels, acting as a commanding midfield leader with the strategic prowess of a center-back.
This version boasts a fantastic blend of defensive prowess and the ability to construct effective attacks. He exhibits great calmness while handling the ball, with his passing statistics hovering around 90% and his ball control not lagging much behind. His strength lies in passing; however, he lacks the Low Lofted Pass and No Look Pass techniques.

With his exceptional defensive perception and tackle rates ranking high among defensive midfielders, it’s quite feasible to deploy him effectively at the center-back position too. He excels in setting the game pace and thwarting enemy attacks before they penetrate your defense line.
Regarding the card, it appears to be quite strong without any apparent flaws. Many players might consider using him for Central Back positions, but considering he rates at 107 in-game, I believe it would be a misuse of his other attributes. Instead, he shines as a Central Midfielder/Defensive Midfielder, standing out among the best in that position. Therefore, I suggest you deploy him in a role where he can dictate play and utilize his full potential.
Gianluigi Buffon
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Defensive Goalkeeper
- Showtime Skill: None
Despite being statistically the weakest goalkeeper, he automatically upgrades to level 106. Interestingly, it was expected that the new GK Directing Defence Show Time skill would be assigned to him, but for unknown reasons, Buffon still lacks a ST skill.

Sure thing,
Despite this, he’s still an unyielding barrier in the goal. In fact, his core goalkeeping statistics are almost at their maximum and incredibly high, which means you’ll frequently witness him making saves that other goalkeepers can’t even attempt. Notably, all of his stats, except for catching, are rated 95+.
In terms of style, he won’t be launching long passes like Neuer, but he excels in handling short passes and low kicks. Given his robust physical attributes, such as height and reach, it would be wise to create a build with enhanced reflexes for an outstanding performance.
G. van Bronckhorst
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
- Showtime Skill: Fortress
This new addition will surely delight fans! Van Bronckhorst, at last, receives the recognition he deserves, and his card is blazing hot if you appreciate dynamic wingbacks. He possesses the Long Reach Tackle Show Time skill, which suits players who are consistently pursuing and harassing wingers.
What truly left an impression was his incredible engine, as his stamina is nearly unmatched, which is evident in his relentless playstyle. He exhibits the skills of a well-rounded fullback, moving swiftly with speeds in the high 90s, boasting impressive acceleration, and demonstrating remarkable agility with the ball.

Although his dribbling skills may not be at the highest level, they are sufficient for setting up plays and moving the ball along the wings. For a defensive player focusing on offense, improving the passing abilities in autobuild isn’t ideal, so I opted to enhance the speed instead, aiming to boost the overall passing statistics.
As a devoted fan, I’d say his defensive game is top-notch. His tackle statistics are robust, and with that extraordinary Sliding Tackle ability, he can extend into tackles even when slightly unbalanced, recovering admirably. For me, Fighting Spirit would be the ideal skill choice to represent his tenacity, making him an all-around solid player on the field.
Best Epic card from the National Guardians pack in eFootball 2025
In this trio, each player has their distinct role, but Beckenbauer truly shines as the most adaptable and superior pick within this collection. The other two are equally impressive and sit among the elite, yet Beckenbauer is the standout in terms of versatility. To sum up, it’s a thoughtfully crafted Epic release, and every card provides lasting worth based on your team’s specific requirements.
