eFootball 2025 English League Selection Apr ’25: Pack Review and Top picks to consider
In April 2025, the latest version of eFootball, known as eFootball 2025, begins releasing its League Selection packs. This time around, the English League Selection offers some intriguing player cards. Notable veterans make a comeback, while there’s also a blend of promising newcomers and defenders that fit well within the game’s meta (metagame).
This collection isn’t particularly glamorous, but some cards are definitely worth a try if you’re looking for solid choices. Here’s my analysis of the top 5 selections from the pack considering their usefulness and gameplay experience. I’ve also provided a brief overview of the other players in this pack.
This isn’t the most impressive lineup, but there are some cards that are worth playing if you’re after good options. Here are my top 5 picks from the pack based on their usefulness and how they play. I’ve also given a quick summary of the other players in this pack.
eFootball 2025 English League Selection Apr ’25: Top 5 picks to consider
1. Micky van de Ven
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
This card strongly suggests a versatile eFootball defender like Van de Ven. His standout trait is his extraordinary speed, an attribute not commonly found in center-backs of his stature. This swiftness enables him to match pace with most forwards, making him one of the select defenders who can effectively adjust from an advanced position.

Beyond that, he’s quite imposing physically and is dependable in individual confrontations. Although he may not excel in passing the ball, his defensive skills make him an excellent choice among the team selections.
2. Eberechi Eze
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
I’ve got to admit, I’m partial, but this card is a blast to use. Eze is agile with the ball, his dribbling is fluid, and he possesses excellent close control. He’d be an ideal choice for a player just behind the striker, capitalizing on openings and executing quick maneuvers like sharp turns and sudden accelerations.

While he may not be particularly imposing physically, his exceptional technical skills compensate remarkably well. I found that he had a strong finishing touch when I experimented with him in a Striker-type build. Moreover, his versatility to excel in various attacking roles is something noteworthy and hard to overlook. If you appreciate swift attackers, it’s worth giving him a shot.
3. Alisson Becker
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper

Alisson continues to be a preferred choice for those who opt for the “sweeper-keeper” style. His knack for quickly dashing out and effectively shutting down attacking players is a significant advantage, particularly in high defensive lines and when dealing with long and through balls. He’s highly reliable when it comes to reflex saves and gives a sense of security under pressure.
4. Pervis Estupinan
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
Estupinan is a unique full-back who can keep running swiftly both along the wing throughout the entire game. This card enhances his endurance, strengthening his defensive capabilities, while still maintaining impressive numbers in offensive plays. Thus, he’s always poised to send crosses and contribute to attacks.

If you’re seeking a player with absolute balance, he might not fit that description perfectly. However, when it comes to playing as a versatile two-way full-back, he possesses plenty of skills to make a significant impact during games.
5. Jadon Sancho
- Position: LWF
- Playing Style: Prolific Winger
This card of Sancho is designed for skillful players. Agile and swift, it boasts impressive stats that allow him to outmaneuver defenders. He performs exceptionally well in cramped spaces, particularly around the penalty box, and his excellent ball control makes him difficult to knock off the ball, although his physical attributes might be a bit weighty.

As a fellow enthusiast, I must say that while Sancho’s ultimate output might require refinement in certain scenarios, particularly when relying excessively on wingers for goals, the joy he brings during dribbling moments makes him an engaging card to utilize in my gameplay experience.
Here are short overviews for other players:
- Bruno Guimaraes (DMF/Orchestrator): Calm, composed, and always looking to keep things ticking in midfield. A solid passer who offers good defensive support, though he won’t really wow you with flair or quick bursts.
- Marcus Rashford (LWF/Prolific Winger): Fast, powerful, and made for counter-attacks. He’s effective running in behind, but don’t expect strong, consistent performances.
- Yukinari Sugawara (RB/Offensive Wingback): High work rate, always on the move up and down the right flank. Decent going forward, defensively average but not too bad. Average to good.
- Enes Unal (CF/Fox in the Box): Big presence in the box with solid heading and finishing. Great if you need a sneaky forward to stay in front for a finish.
- Ethan Nwaneri (AMF/Hole Player): A young, developing playmaker with decent movement and ball control. Fun card for sure, love that playstyle, but not a solid showcase, which is expected.
Is it worth pulling players from the English League Selection Apr ’25 pack in eFootball 2025
This month’s English League Selection is quite evenly distributed. It may not feature star players, but it compensates with intriguing cards that can develop into crucial team members. For me, Van de Ven and Eze are the ones who shine brightest among them all.
Glancing at it as a whole, this collection seems enticing enough for a couple of playthroughs. However, it could be more appealing to those seeking novelty or addressing particular needs, rather than players aiming to discover game-changing characters.
