- A mysterious team carrying Borussia Dortmund’s previous team ID was found in eFootball’s latest update.
- If the comeback is true, fans could see BVB players return as Epic cards.
A fresh hint points towards a potential return of Borussia Dortmund to the eFootball series by 2025. While it’s not confirmed yet, several reports have indicated the appearance of a placeholder team representing the club, which could be a promising sign that we might see the team in yellow and black grace the game again.
Borussia Dortmund previously had a four-year licensing deal with KONAMI
As a devoted fan, I’ve stumbled upon some intriguing information. It appears that an update, specifically update 4.4.0, has discreetly introduced a team called “Zeisjaadicht” according to the trusted dataminer Durandil PES on X. The team remains a mystery at this point, but it seems to have inherited Dortmund’s previous team ID, sparking curiosity about its potential connections to the renowned club.
Potential Borussia Dortmund partnership?

Additionally, users over at the r/pesmobile community have provided similar information, however, this particular detail comes straight from the game itself. As of now, we don’t have an in-game option to adjust it, but you can find the team name listed under the “Other Teams” section within the game.
In 2016, KONAMI and Borussia Dortmund entered into a four-year agreement for Borussia Dortmund to be featured as a licensed team within the PES series. However, since the eFootball series, Dortmund has been absent from the game due to licensing limitations.

In the past, our BVB squad was incredible, boasting top-tier players such as Hummels, Aubameyang, and Reus. If this rumor is accurate, we might be in for some exceptional Epic cards. Just think about obtaining a Lewandowski card that captures his remarkable performance against Madrid from 2013.
Although it’s not yet officially announced, there’s strong evidence suggesting Borussia Dortmund could make a return in eFootball 2025. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and see how things unfold.
