eFootball 2025 30th Anniversary Special Selection Contract Guide
A new “Selection Contract” is available now, specifically designed for the 30th Anniversary Special Edition of eFootball 2025. Originally only accessible by those who attended the live eFootball World Festival Tokyo 2025 event, we can now obtain a link to redeem this contract free of charge.
This revised version maintains the original message but is written in a more conversational and easy-to-understand manner.
It’s clear that many players may have chosen their preferred options from this selection earlier on. However, for those who are still deciding, here’s a guide to my 30th Anniversary Special Selection Contract for choosing the top picks among the five available in eFootball 2025.
eFootball 2025 30th Anniversary Special Selection Contract Players
Here are a dozen top-tier eFootball 2022 players at your disposal for selection. Important to mention, these players do not have booster or Show Time abilities. However, some cards maintain their strength within this collection.
Ronaldinho Gaúcho
- Position: LWF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
This card stands out among many others. The stats on it strongly suggest that he’s an ideal addition to any team. His dribbling numbers are quite robust, and even if you slightly reduce his progression points, the impact is minimal.

He exhibits an astonishingly strict control, coupled with a speed that allows him to outmaneuver defenders effortlessly. In terms of passing and scoring, his stats are impressive, though one may hope for more; however, it’s important to remember that he’s still relatively inexperienced, being only three seasons old.
Frank Rijkaard
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
Rijkaard is an exceptional deep-lying midfielder, possessing both the strength of a defensive barrier and the skill of an orchestrator. His defensive prowess is unyielding, he comprehends the game intelligently, swiftly cuts off openings, and revels in taking on challenges – particularly tackles.

Immediately, you’ll observe his aggressive play and commitment, and he excels at safeguarding our defense like few others. His defensive metrics are outstanding, showcasing exceptional tackling, positioning, and interception skills. These skills rank among the best in the game. Additionally, his passing is precise, with both short and long passes rated highly, and there’s room for improvement to even further boost these numbers.
In my view, he excels more in the role of a Defensive Midfielder (DMF), but he can also handle the Central Back (CB) position quite comfortably. It’s essential to equip him with Aerial Superiority and Heading skills suitable for both DMF and CB roles to make the most of his abilities.
Steven Gerrard
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
Gerrard is a traditional, energetic midfielder who excels here. Known for his strength, aggression, and ability to control the game from a deep position, he embodies everything one desires in a box-to-box player. He possesses a robust passing skillset, can accurately deliver high balls, and is famous for his powerful long-range shots.

Instead of heading directly to 102 with autobuild, it’s worth noting that his ability to pass efficiently stands out most notably. Adjusting the rating slightly in the high 90s is possible, but there’s definitely room for improvement. His ball control could be smoother, and he won’t effortlessly leave opponents behind. Agility and balance aren’t his strengths either, so it’s crucial to focus on enhancing those attributes.
Frank Lampard
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
This player exhibits a robust all-around midfield performance, excelling in ball control, passing, and even goals. Statistically, he’s the type of midfielder who sneaks into the penalty area at crucial moments to score stunning long-range shots.

He may not be the most agile player, but it’s not a critical aspect, as he can hold his ground physically. There seemed to be a deficiency in physical balance earlier, so it might be wise to assess him independently. He requires a first-time shot and excels as a strong finisher.
David Beckham
- Position: RMF
- Playing Style: Cross Specialist
In this group of midfielders in English football, Beckham finishes off as one of them. He’s often called a “Crossing Whiz,” and his lofted passes are so frequent that their efficiency remains strong even when they slightly slow down the overall progression of play. Compared to Lampard, this card excels at crosses, albeit not in terms of passing.

It’s evident that with his skills in Curl and Passing, he excels at delivering precise crosses from the wing or finding teammates from long range. As for his playing style, he suits the role of Right Midfield Finder (RMF), but enhancing his abilities as an Attacking Midfielder (AMF) with a position booster could also be effective.
Diego Forlan
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
In a more casual and accessible manner: Forlan possesses an authentic, classic forward attitude. He’s not only lethal inside the penalty area but can also fire thunderbolts from distance. His unique shooting ability truly shines. Additionally, he boasts a comprehensive set of shooting skills.

This player can function as a creative link-up midfielder or even a deep-lying playmaker, capable of distributing low passes effectively. However, he also has the ability to send a good lofted pass when needed. Nevertheless, I’m hesitant about this card because it appears quite outdated compared to the packs we have received so far. Consequently, I’m unsure if this player would truly represent an upgrade for us.
Rivaldo
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Classic No. 10
This card might not be one that many people think about, as his playing style can be a deterrent for some. However, Rivaldo’s game embodies the refined playmaking skills you’d expect from a top-tier No. 10. His command over the ball, agility during dribbles, and impressive possession stats suggest that when he’s in control, it’s as if he’s in his own domain.

This card seems to be on the slower and heavier side when compared to other meta attackers, particularly due to its average acceleration and speed. However, don’t be fooled by its initial performance; provide it with some room and time, and it can work wonders. Notably, it boasts an impressive 104 rating in the SS position, making it one of the top cards in that area.
Ruud van Nistelrooij
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox In The Box
He can be described as a cunning forward; he loves nothing more than finding the back of the net. Van Nistelrooy is a ruthless predator within the penalty box. This type of striker seemingly has an uncanny knack for being at the right place at the right time. His exceptional offensive instincts and impressive goal-scoring record make him an outstanding center forward.

For a soccer (FITB) player, agility with the ball (dribbling) and speed are skills that aren’t typically problems, but rather strengths. However, when it comes to the automated build feature, it seems to overlook a player’s heading and physical attributes. Therefore, I would advise reducing focus on scoring (finishing) and instead increasing attention given to heading and physical prowess.
Claude Makélélé
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Destroyer
Makelele is a highly-rated card for a Defensive Midfielder, excelling in many areas. He exhibits exceptional understanding of the game, making clean tackles, and consistently disrupting opposing plays with his timely interventions. If you appreciate a player who specializes in interceptions, Makelele is worth considering. Don’t forget to add the Blocker skill to enhance his overall performance.

This player excels unexpectedly well, considering his destroyer role. He exhibits impressive skills in ball distribution and swift first-touch passes. However, his heading abilities require improvement. To address this, you could team him up with a taller midfielder as a double pivot.
Roberto Carlos
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
This card is chaos on the left wing. Roberto Carlos plays like a high-speed bullet train with astonishing agility. The 99-stat combo in the auto-build – speed, endurance, and striking power – turns him into an unstoppable force. Despite not always being in the ideal position, he recovers incredibly quickly, like a flash of lightning.

This player excels in long-distance shots, crosses, and even free kicks, but unfortunately, his defensive abilities are lacking. He’s more of an offensive powerhouse rather than a strong defender. It would be wiser to utilize him for passing plays instead.
Raul
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Dummy Runner
Raul’s unique playing style meshes perfectly with skilled players, and his versatile card can be effective in various roles on the field. He appears to make intelligent runs and boasts impressive finishing stats.

His ability to maneuver effectively within and near the box is what makes him potentially threatening. With an appropriate physique, he also maintains good stability and swiftness, enabling him to maintain his position when it’s crucial. Speed isn’t a problem for him since he isn’t the type of forward who relies on speed to control the ball.
Shunsuke Nakamura
- Position: RMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
Nakamura is often underestimated due to his calm demeanor on the field. He may not be overly explosive, but when he gets possession of the ball, he proves his worth. His spot-kicking and curling skills make his set-pieces lethal, making him one of the best free-kick takers in the game.

His physique is lean, making him particularly agile during physical confrontations as his stats are virtually non-existent. However, he remains a good choice for a collectible card, boasting a reliable player identification number.
Whom to select from the 30th Anniversary Special Selection Contract in eFootball 2025
Purely on the basis of the player stats, here are my rankings:
Tier | Player |
---|---|
SSS (Overpowered) | None |
SS (Very Strong) | Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Frank Rijkaard |
S (Strong) | Rivaldo, Steven Gerrard, Ruud van Nistelrooij |
A (Good) | Frank Lampard, David Beckham, Claude Makélélé, Raul |
B (Average) | Roberto Carlos, Diego Forlan, Shunsuke Nakamura |
C (Below Average) | None |
I’ve tested several cards in this setup, and my evaluation is based on that experience. Unfortunately, a few cards don’t align with the current game meta, as there are already powerful cards available. However, some choices such as Ronaldinho, Rijkaard, Rivaldo, and to an extent, van Nistelrooij, prove to be potent selections and effectively enhance gameplay.
In addition, there are some points to bear in mind as well. Lampard, being a Big Time player, is the unique one that comes with a Grand Celebration. Conversely, if you decide on Beckham, he can’t be utilized in any Club activities because his affiliation is limited to National Teams only.
