Edith Bowman turns heads in an eye-catching pink dress as she attends the UK premiere of Squid Game season three
At The Barbican Centre in London, on a Thursday evening, Edith Bowman made quite an impression with her striking pink gown while attending the UK debut of Squid Game season three.
In 2021, a critically praised South Korean dystopian thriller debuted, where 456 individuals facing financial troubles participate in a string of deadly games. The last one standing receives a substantial cash reward.
On this special day, Edith, who is 51 years old, decided to wear a striking pink layered midi dress with a black bow serving as a belt instead.
She elevated her stature in green high-heels, and adorned herself sparingly with only a delicate golden necklace as jewelry.
In the Netflix series, she accompanied Lee Jung-Jae, who portrays the main character Seong Gi-hun, and sported a chic appearance on the red carpet, which was painted pink.

He donned a silvery fishnet top paired elegantly with a beige-hued blazer, coordinating trousers, and sturdy black loafers.
The long-awaited glimpse into Squid Game’s third season has delighted Netflix viewers, with a shocking revelation that some familiar faces from the past will make a comeback.
This week’s preview for the upcoming Netflix series installment brings back the characters often referred to as VIPs onto our television screens once more.
In the second season, the mysterious high-class attendees who wore masks, often being unidentified wealthy individuals, were not present at the games as they had been during the first season.
However, they’re making a return now for the much-awaited third season, which will be available on Netflix starting from June 27th.
In the initial season, viewers found themselves less than thrilled by the VIPs, who wore peculiar masks and delivered stiff performances. However, as the characters appear to have undergone a significant transformation, fans are now approaching this new season with a more receptive attitude.
In a predominantly Korean TV series, the VIP characters converse in English, but some viewers found the English dialogues written by the show creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, to lack a truly authentic flow and naturalness in the first season.
They also believed that the selection of English actors for the show wasn’t as impressive as they had aimed for.

It’s worth mentioning that Kayti Burt, a pop and Korean culture commentator, pointed out: “The occurrence of poor non-native language performances isn’t exclusive to Squid Game or Korea.
It makes sense that a nation’s film or television industry might struggle to find talented non-native speakers for roles, given the smaller pool of candidates due to language barriers and complications arising from work visa regulations.
Given the overwhelming success of the show following its initial appearance by the VIPs, there’s a widespread belief among viewers that season three could potentially attract more authentic British acting talent for the characters.
The new VIPs are different from the previous all-male cast, with at least two women in the group.
The costumes worn by the characters vary as well; they sport smaller, simpler masks and fewer ostentatious, flashy garments in certain instances.
Fans flocked to Reddit to ponder over the potential impact of the casting alterations, expressing curiosity with a comment such as: “This time around, we have two prominent females in the VIP roles. Quite intriguing.
Others added: ‘Adding a female VIP was definitely an interesting move.
I have a hunch that she might turn out to be even more deceitful and despicable than the character known as the ’69 VIP’ from season one.

‘About time a female VIP is present’; ‘There are more VIPs than the original series one VIPs’;
I was taken aback to discover that an entirely fresh group has been introduced, with none of the original cast members returning. It seems as though they are mindful of the criticisms leveled at the initial VIPs and have chosen to bring in new faces instead.
Regarding the attire, one user commented: ‘They appear to be dressing more in the style of a wealthy or influential individual rather than the bright, garish colors seen in season one.’
This time, the characters appeared noticeably more genuinely terrifying and grave compared to being comical. One observer commented, “They seem harsher and more severe than the characters from season one.
Another person concurred, stating, “I believe they will come across as more serious and mature than the comical characters from season one.” In response, someone else added, “They also seem a lot more ominous or unsettling.
Some expressed genuine enthusiasm, with one exclaiming, “They’re quite stylish, very stylish indeed,” and another commenting, “The one adorned with a bird mask definitely has a cool vibe.
However, some users expressed similar skepticism towards the VIPs in this season, commenting: “They’re nearly bald and those masks are tiny – it’s quite amusing.
Another simply said: ‘Lunatics.’
Fans of Squid Game found themselves deeply moved and distraught as Netflix unveiled the heart-wrenching twist in the very first season’s trailer, leaving them in tears.

An initial sneak peek at the upcoming season, set to launch on a streaming platform come June 27, was recently unveiled on YouTube, and it seems like you wouldn’t want to skip this one.
The main character, Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), was observed being returned to their sleeping quarters inside a coffin. Upon doing so, the remaining players turned a silver button, receiving a ball as a result. This seemed to indicate which team they would be assigned to.
One poignant moment depicted Geum-ja (Kang Ae-sim) and Yong-sik (Yang Dong-geun) holding contrasting colored orbs, subtly indicating their impending opposition.
Towards the finale, Kim Jun-hee (Jo Yu-ri), hiding her pregnancy as she played the game, gazed directly into the camera, tears streaming down her face… and moments later, a newborn’s cry was heard.
You can now stream seasons one and two of “Squid Game” on Netflix. The third season is set to debut on June 27th.
