Australia’s sports community was deeply saddened Wednesday by the news of TV personality Duncan McKenzie-McHarg’s death at the age of 41.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported that the experienced sports broadcaster died from injuries sustained in a fall from a building.
Official records show his body was found on a roof in Downtown LA.
The Stan Sports presenter is a seasoned television host with extensive experience in both Australia and the United States. They moved to America several years ago to pursue their career.
He started his career in media in January 2010, working as a reporter for Triple M’s Hot Breakfast show with Eddie McGuire. He stayed with the station for nearly three years.
I’ve been a big fan of Duncan’s work for years! Before he really hit his stride, he was on Channel Seven and Ten, doing presenting work. Then, in 2017, he became Fox Sports Australia’s correspondent here in the US, and I loved getting his insights – he stayed in that role until May 2022, which was a real loss for us fans.

He landed his ideal job in August 2022, becoming a sports presenter for Stan in Los Angeles, and continued in that position until his untimely death.
He collaborated with several famous athletes, including Australian tennis player Todd Woodbridge and American athlete Madison Keys.
He interviewed numerous world-renowned celebrities during his time in this position, including sports icons like Shaquille O’Neal, Tom Brady, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic.
His unexpected death has deeply saddened fans and athletes in both Australia and the United States.
He was known for being a lively and captivating presenter, and he quickly connected with many of the world’s top athletes.
Fans took to social media to pay tribute to Duncan.
‘RIP Duncan. We all love you so much,’ one heartbroken fan wrote.
‘Why, just why?’ a second asked.

Duncan has often mentioned that he decided he wanted to be a sports presenter after seeing his hero, Eddie McGuire, on television.
In a 2023 interview with Radio Today, he said he enjoyed how TV sports reporters seemed to put on a show while reporting.
‘Eddie was so quick and versatile,’ he continued.
‘Funny, but could also deliver serious news.’
Duncan is survived by his family.
