Eddie McGuire Reveals Shock Pick for Millionaire Reboot Host!

Eddie McGuire has broken his silence on a Who Wants to be a Millionaire? reboot.

The longtime host of Channel Nine’s game show, spanning from 1999 to 2023, believes the time is right for a revival featuring a brand-new face at the helm.

Eddie mentioned to the Herald Sun that he can only wish for a good outcome should it return, and he added, “It could possibly be Sam Pang… Who knows?” He has always maintained that what happened was a break, not an end.

Eddie mentioned that the seasoned comedian would be perfect for the part since the host should be someone full of energy, capable of bantering with competitors and keeping things light-hearted.

‘The host gets to play around, so I hope whoever gets it will have great fun,’ he said.

The tremendous success of the 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire demonstrated that people worldwide enjoyed its unique style.

As a devoted fan, I can confidently say that this globally acclaimed TV series is among the most successful on Earth. Not only did it give birth to an Oscar-winning film, but its sheer delightfulness is undeniable.

There’s been chatter for quite a while now that the well-liked game show might return, but nothing is set in stone yet.

In 2023, the long-running game show, which was renamed Millionaire Hot Seat, was axed.

The series gave away millions over the years to Aussies competing on the show.

In simpler terms, Eddie announced on 3AW that The Millionaire Hot Seat will be taking a break at the end of January, and he expressed feelings of both pride, joy, and sadness about this decision.

At 5 pm, there will be a special show airing on the Nine Network, replacing our regular programming. This is because we’re celebrating our 25th anniversary and moving into the year 2024.

I delight in hearing stories like, “So many have shared, ‘I spent time with my grandparents, watching this show together.’

In summary, there were a total of four millionaires, with two coming from each program. However, an impressive number of contestants walked away with either $250,000 or $500,000 as prize money, according to Eddie.

Eddie said he loved being the host because he got to meet people from all walks of life.

After Sam Pang’s initial attempt at hosting late-night talk shows was met with varied responses from viewers, it sparked some discussion.

On Monday, the first episode of Sam Pang Tonight was broadcasted on Channel Ten, however, not every viewer found it to be particularly appealing.

As an overly enthusiastic viewer, I couldn’t help but share my thoughts about the latest episode on social media. Many fellow fans and I expressed our disapproval towards the inclusion of ‘pre-recorded laughter’, which felt somewhat out of place to us.

In February, an informant revealed to Daily Mail Australia that the plan for the program is for Sam to create his unique version of a talk show similar to that of Graham Norton’s panel format.

‘Australia will finally have a proper “tonight show”,’ the source said.

We’ve been lacking something unique in our free-to-air programming, but Sam’s show is going to offer a fresh and distinct perspective.
