Ed Sheeran’s Rare PDA with Wife Cherry on Valentine’s Day: Inside Their Love Story
On Valentine’s Day last Friday, Ed Sheeran affectionately kissed his not-often-seen spouse Cherry gently on the cheek and posted a heartwarming message expressing their love.
33-year-old music tycoon joined other celebrities in sharing photos of their significant others on social media to celebrate the occasion. (Informal: The 33-year-old music bigwig, along with other famous folks, posted pics of their sweethearts online for the special day.)
The childhood sweethearts looked happier than ever in the precious picture.
Ed wrote ‘Azizam’ in the caption, which is a Persian term of endearment meaning ‘my beloved’.
The couple, who share daughters Lyra, four, and Jupiter, two, grew up together in the same town.
They rekindled their romance in 2014 and tied the knot in a small ceremony five years later.
In May 2022, they surprised their followers by revealing that they’d quietly given birth to their second child, sharing the news only with their immediate relatives during the pregnancy.
I eagerly shared on Instagram the exciting news, posting a snapshot of a pristine pair of tiny white baby booties.
Ed titled his post: “I’d like to share some wonderful news – our family just grew by one more! A beautiful little girl has joined us, and we couldn’t be happier or more in love. We’re now a family of four, and feeling absolutely overjoyed!
Later on, it became known that Cherry, aged 32, had been diagnosed with a tumor during her pregnancy with their second child. This disclosure shed light on the fact that the couple faced intense emotions such as fear, sadness, and worry due to the restriction that treatment could only commence after she had delivered the baby.
2023 saw Ed express, via an Instagram post, that he faced battles with his emotional well-being. He was grappling with Cherry’s health complications and also mourning the passing of his dear friend, Jamal Edwards, from 2022.
In the year 2021, Ed shared that welcoming their first child, Lyra, was both a “wonderful gift” and an “extraordinary event,” as they had faced challenges in conceiving together.
The artist shared that the pair made medical appointments following their attempts to conceive over an extended period, to ensure all was well.
In the year of 2019, during our unforgettable getaway to the enchanting Antarctic wilderness, my partner and I were overjoyed to conceive our little miracle through the miraculous power of nature herself. And so, we welcomed our precious child into the world, a moment that has forever left me in a state of blissful euphoria.
He shared with US radio station The Breakfast Club that they had been trying for some time to have a child, and they eventually began consulting with doctors to understand the issue.
‘I did think it was a miracle, so that’s why I was like, we should have this in the name.
‘Much of it is psychological. It’s primarily about finding relaxation. Many of my friends have experimented with various methods such as IVF or timing intercourse correctly, but when they unwind at weddings by drinking alcohol, they often conceive.’
He added: ‘It’s not a given. It is a real blessing when it happens.
‘Ed jokingly remarked, “She’ll probably roll her eyes and say something like, ‘Really?’ when she finds out!”‘
It comes after Ed seemingly confirmed his next album will be called Play.
Instead of releasing a sequence of albums labeled with mathematical symbols, he has come out with a series. When a fan inquired about a potential new math LP, he hinted that his upcoming studio project, following the 2023 release ‘Autumn Variations’, may be titled ‘Play’.
