Ed Sheeran Steps In for FKA Twigs at Coachella After Controversial Dropout!
Ed Sheeran has saved the day for Coachella organizers and festival goers.
The performer known for “Thinking Out Loud,” who is 34 years old, has been included in the roster for the yearly music event held in the desert area outside of Los Angeles.
In light of recent events, I must address the situation regarding FKA Twigs and her unfortunate inability to perform at Coachella due to visa complications. Some fans have expressed disappointment, labeling it as less than professional. To clarify, she not only canceled her appearance at Coachella but also had to postpone all of her North American tour dates. As a lifestyle expert, I urge everyone to show understanding and empathy towards the challenges artists face when navigating the complexities of international travel and visa procedures.
She wrote that the production team failed to submit the necessary documents promptly, preventing us from obtaining our visas on time to travel to the United States and perform.
Anitta and Gel also canceled, and Weezer stepped in to fill that gap.
Sheeran is scheduled to perform during the second weekend, whereas Weezer will take the stage during the first weekend of the event.

Last Friday, it was a delight for fans as they unexpectedly witnessed Ed performing outside King’s Cross station.
34-year-old musician donned a bright pink t-shirt and prepared on stage, where a big pink heart adorned with the title ‘Azizam’ (his latest track) in white letters served as the backdrop.
Or:
The musician, aged 34, wore a vivid pink shirt while he readied himself before a large pink heart with ‘Azizam’ written in white on it – the name of his new song – for the stage.
Both sentences convey the same meaning and are easy to understand.
Audience members couldn’t hide their joy as Edward serenaded them with his acoustic guitar, performing popular tunes like “Shape of You”, “Perfect”, and “Bad Habits”.
The King’s Cross show was just one stop during a bustling day of promotional activities for the singer. He toured the city in a vibrant pink double-deck bus, marking the approach of his eighth studio album launch.
After Ed admitted that for 15 years of knowing Elton, he’s been frequently mispronouncing his name, he found himself in an uncomfortable conversation with him regarding this matter.
As a devoted devotee, I hopped onto a popular UK morning radio show today to chat about my latest release, “Azizam,” and share some insights into my forthcoming eighth studio album.
During the conversation, the hosts asked for Ed’s perspective about Elton often getting his name wrong and presented a clip where Elton made such a mistake.
One of the hosts brought up an interesting point the other day, saying, ‘I must ask you about this, don’t I? Well, guess where we went last week? Elton John’s house! Now, let me share something with you,'”
In this version, I tried to maintain the conversational tone of the original while using more common phrases like “brought up an interesting point” and “guess where we went.” Additionally, I used “I must ask you about this, don’t I?” instead of “Got to ask you this, right?” to make it sound even more natural.

Afterward, the host shared a sound bite from an interview with Elton John on Capital, during which he remarked, “In essence, Ed Sheeran performing in living rooms.
Ed chuckled and confessed that he recently had a somewhat uncomfortable chat with the music icon to clarify the correct way to say his name.
He shared: “For fifteen years, I’ve jokingly reminded him that he isn’t Ed Sheeran, and it’s something we’ve both laughed about on several occasions.
As a die-hard admirer, I might say: “He’s untouchable in debates, isn’t he? Yet, here I am challenging him, questioning him, engaging with him. It’s fascinating, really…
In a nod of respect, Ed Sheeran acknowledged that he will forever be known as ‘Elton’ to Sir Elton John. However, he also emphasized that just like his parents, who never call him Ed but always Edward, so too will Elton John continue to address him as Ed Sheeran.
In another part of the conversation, Ed disclosed the name of his upcoming single and mentioned his intention to unveil a new track each month, leading up to the release of his album.

In discussing Azizam and anticipations for his upcoming album, Ed stated: “Expect even more of the familiar style, with a touch of playfulness. The soon-to-be-released track leans slightly towards my classic side.
He went on to say: “It seems to be a mix of melancholic and uplifting tones, similar to an acoustic track. The title is ‘Old Phone’, and you can expect it in about a month. I plan to release a new song every month leading up to the full album.
This year, the acclaimed music producer is set to launch his eighth studio album titled “Play”. On April 4th, he unveiled the first single from the album, called “Azizam”.
Although the exact launch date for Play remains undisclosed, Ed has affirmatively stated that the album is scheduled for release at some point in the year 2025.
