Ed Sheeran gets go-ahead to expand £3.7M Suffolk ‘Sheeranville’ estate by converting £1M farmhouse into huge rehearsal space and ‘man cave’ – despite previous clashes with neighbours

Ed Sheeran has been approved to add to his £37 million estate in Suffolk, nicknamed ‘Sheeranville.’ Plans include a large rehearsal area and a leisure space often called a ‘man cave.’

I’m so excited for him! He’s turning the barn on his new property – it cost £1.1 million, can you believe it? – into an amazing creative space. He’s going to use it for rehearsals and storing all his gear, but he’s also building an office and a library upstairs. It’s going to be perfect for him!

Ed is slowly transforming the old farm buildings into a high-end workspace where he can write and record music.

He’s already transformed one of the barns into a recording studio, and actually wrote part of his new album, Play, there. A grand piano sits in one corner of the space.

Ed has transformed an old pig farm into an incredible recreation room. It now features a bar, gym, pool table, and even a bowling alley, and is estimated to have cost over £150,000 to create.

The celebrity uses a bowling alley as storage for his sports collectibles. His bowling balls are brightly colored and feature symbols from his albums, like those from ‘Divide’ and ‘Equals’.

The room is decked out for fun and fitness, with football jerseys displayed on the walls, a small gym area complete with weights, and both a pool table and foosball table.

He’s transformed some of the outdoor space by landscaping fields and building a kitchen garden with raised beds for both flowers and vegetables. He’s also added an outdoor entertaining area complete with an oven.

The celebrity, estimated to be worth £200 million, has been gradually buying up land near his Suffolk home, but this hasn’t been without issues, as he’s previously had disagreements with his neighbors.

The singer has been caught in legal battles concerning property lines – both his own and those of his neighbors who want to build on their land.

This news follows reports that Ed, with a property empire valued at £70 million, recently purchased a £1 million farmhouse in the area.

He purchased a historic farmhouse – a building of special architectural or historical interest – along with the surrounding land, and is renovating it as a second home. He plans to host gatherings there and use it as a creative space for working on music.

According to The Sun, Ed Sheeran owns a lot of land with several barns that he’s currently renovating. He’s already turned one of them into a recording studio.

Ed transformed the old piggery into an amazing man cave. It now features everything he could want, including a bar, a gym, a pool table, and even a bowling alley – a longtime dream of his.

Daily Mail contacted Ed’s representatives for comment at the time.

Even though Ed announced last month that he was moving to America indefinitely, this is still happening.

He often travels internationally for work, but recently shared in an interview that he plans to live in the United States with his family during his current tour.

Ed recently purchased a large house in New York for £9 million, but he primarily lives in Suffolk with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, and their two daughters, five-year-old Lyra and three-year-old Jupiter.

On the 2 Johnnies podcast, he announced he was moving to America, jokingly adding that he felt like the only person doing so.

I’ll be touring there for an extended period, and since I have a family, we’re making a longer-term move and settling down there.

Ed did not specify where in the States he would be moving to.

He had mentioned before that he might move to the United States, as he was interested in pursuing a career in country music.

Ed said earlier this year: ‘When you transition to country, you can’t transition back.

I love Nashville – it’s always been my dream to move there and pursue a career in country music.

Ed’s choice to move overseas follows recent criticism he received for saying he feels ‘culturally Irish,’ even though he was born and grew up in England.

Although the singer-songwriter grew up in Suffolk, his father, John, is originally from Belfast, and he spent a lot of his childhood in Ireland.

Okay, so Ed finally *talked* about where he really comes from on the Louis Theroux podcast, and honestly, it made so much sense! He basically said he *feels* Irish, that’s the culture he was raised with, and it just…clicked. It’s like, I always sensed that connection in his music, and now it’s confirmed! It’s just… perfect.

My dad comes from a large family – he has seven siblings. We used to spend all our holidays in Ireland, and that’s where I had my first experiences with music. Traditional Irish music was a big part of my childhood home. So, while I was born and raised in Britain, I strongly feel a cultural connection to Ireland.
