EastEnders stars Jo Joyner and Tamzin Outhwaite’s new drama lands release date

Channel 5 has officially announced that the series titled “The Wives” is set to debut on Monday, 16th of September, airing at 9pm. Fresh episodes will follow suit each evening until Wednesday, 18th of September (as reported by Radio Times))
In this production, Joyner and Outhwaite are joined by Angela Griffin, a renowned figure from the mystery series Waterloo Road and Coronation Street, as well as Jamie Bamber, known for Beyond Paradise, to lead the cast
Griffin, Joyner, and Outhwaite portray sisters-in-law taking their annual vacation to the island of Malta following the supposed accidental death of their other sister-in-law, Annabelle (played by Christine Bottomley)
As Annabelle’s husband Bamber starts seeing Katie Clarkson-Hill, a woman who looks remarkably like Annabelle, it sparks suspicion among them all that there might be more to Annabelle’s untimely death than initially perceived
In their investigation of this potential conspiracy, the wives may encounter corrupt officials, drug cartels, and criminal careers that are surprisingly nearer than anticipated
The ensemble includes Ben Willbond from the series “Ghosts,” Jonathan Forbes who shone in “Catastrophe,” and Ajay Chhabra, a previous star of “Holby City.”
Back in March, it was revealed that Channel 5 had started producing “The Wives,” a series Griffin described as brimming with “heartfelt connections between women, laughter, and an intriguing mystery at its core.”

Joyner expressed his delight in collaborating once more with Gaumont on the gripping, female-centric thriller titled “The Wives“, stating that he is working in Malta again
