EastEnders star Charlie Brooks reunites with her ex Tony Truman and his new girlfriend Emilie to celebrate Christmas at a £5k-per-night cottage at Soho Farmhouse

EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks spent Christmas with her ex, Tony Truman, and his current girlfriend, enjoying a luxurious getaway at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse.

The actress and the entrepreneur were once engaged, but they ended their relationship in 2006. They have a 21-year-old daughter named Kiki.

Charlie has mentioned she and Tony remained friends after their romantic relationship ended. She recently posted on Instagram that she spent a lavish vacation with Tony and his girlfriend, Emilie Carter.

Tony posted several photos from their vacation, including a picture of the private cottage they rented. The cottage is located in a popular spot for celebrities and costs about £5,000 a night.

One photo even included the formerly married couple with his current girlfriend, Emilie, who runs the clothing company Bare On The Beach. Another showed them with a group of friends, including actor Dean Gaffney, known for his role on EastEnders.

Tony captioned his post: ‘Magical Christmas with the family & loved ones.’

I was honestly surprised to learn that Charlie and Tony lived together for over six months after they broke up. It’s just… they were separated, but still sharing a home. It was a really unusual situation, and I always wondered how they managed it.

She explained to a magazine that when they decided to stay together in 2007, they were confident their friendship would last, as that’s where their relationship began.

I get asked all the time if it’s strange still sharing a space, but honestly, we’re just focusing on what’s best for Kiki and making things work for her. That’s what really matters to us.

Charlie shared in 2021 that she and Tony are still good friends, even though they’re no longer a couple. He actually lives in the apartment right above hers in London.

She told the Daily Mail that he’s always been and will always be family, even though they’ve had major disagreements. Nothing can change that.

He can be difficult at times, but everyone has flaws. I care about him a lot – he’s truly one of my closest friends.

Dancing On Ice star is now single after recently breaking up with producer James Fuller.

In a February 2025 social media post, he publicly confirmed their breakup and praised Charlie’s talent as an ice skater.

He praised their performance with Eric Radford, calling it elegant, graceful, and stunning. He gave it a perfect score of 10 and said he’s excited to watch them skate again this Sunday.

He mentioned her performance in ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ and playfully suggested they play Rummikub once the current show is over, but before she begins rehearsals for ‘Chitty!’

The couple publicly confirmed their relationship just last December, with Charlie sharing a photo of James on Instagram to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

This was her first public relationship after ending her six-year romance with Ben Hollington in 2018.

Charlie first joined EastEnders to play Janine in 1999, and left the soap in May 2004.

Oh my gosh, she keeps coming back and leaving, it’s a rollercoaster! But honestly, her most recent run was amazing – she was on the show from April 2021 all the way until December 2022! I was glued to the screen the entire time, and I was devastated when she left again.
