EastEnders Shocker: Sonia Delivers Baby on Pub Floor Amid Explosive Drama!
In the heart-wrenching moments of the live 40th anniversary episode of EastEnders on Thursday, Sonia Fowler welcomed a new baby girl into the world.
Following an explosion that left them stranded at The Queen Vic, Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) was compelled to deliver her baby on the pub’s floor, as she had no other options.
Upon the arrival of the child, fathered by Reiss Calwell (a known killer), Bianca expressed shock and exclaimed, “She isn’t breathing!
When the newly born baby girl started turning blue, Sonia seemed to be struck with surprise and fear, her lips trembling slightly, causing her to slump backwards onto the ground.
Bianca and Lauren implored her for assistance in saving their child’s life, and after some time, she finally realized what needed to be done and managed to make the young girl cry.
The three of them were quickly saved when the firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames, and they reunited with their companions and neighbors outside.

In the confines of an ambulance’s rear, I found myself, my heart overflowing with joy, tenderly holding my freshly born child – a precious little girl whom I have affectionately christened Julia.
Swiftly, spectators began hypothesizing that the infant might have been christened after Julia Smith, an original creator and initial producer of EastEnders, as their theory.
Once the credits ended after Martin Fowler’s demise, a different rendition of the credits, titled “Julia’s Theme,” began to play instead.
The news about Martin passing away is likely to leave Sonia heartbroken, given that they share a daughter named Chloe who was born several years ago.
In a playful nod, Sonia has christened her newborn Julia – which appears to be a tribute to Julia Smith. A clever homage, indeed.
In an affectionate gesture, Sonia and Martin have named their baby Julia – a name reminiscent of Julia Smith. It’s a lovely nod.
Or more informally:
Sonia and Martin just welcomed a new baby girl, whom they’ve called Julia. Seems like it could be a tribute to Julia Smith. Neat touch!
The goal in both cases is to convey the original message while making it more accessible and engaging for readers.
‘Oh God how is Sonia gonna feel when she finds out Martin is dead!’
For just a moment, it seemed like Sonia might perish during childbirth, leaving Martin in tears.
Or alternatively,
It looked for a brief instant that Sonia could lose her life during childbirth while Martin was sobbing uncontrollably.
‘Julia’s theme playing as Sonia has her happy ending while Martin dies.’

After Natalie revealed last month that she’s departing permanently from the BBC soap, as she came back last year in celebration of its 40th anniversary.
In a heartfelt confession shared with The Sun, I find myself grappling with a mix of emotions – profound sadness and palpable excitement.
After spending another 11 strong years at The Square, I’ve chosen to explore fresh opportunities elsewhere. EastEnders has deeply become a part of me, marking the beginning of my career, and I will always cherish it. The show will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I appreciate Chris Clenshaw for allowing me to play a significant role in the 40th anniversary event – it’s a privilege. Farewell, Sonia, may you be remembered forever.
Back in 1993, at the tender age of ten, I found myself becoming a part of the EastEnders family. Over the next fourteen years, this television series became an integral part of my journey, staying with me until 2007.

She returned as Sonia for a year in 2010 and then returned again last year.
Natalie reportedly told bosses she was planning on leaving EastEnders last summer.
In the course of her career, Natalie has frequently ventured outside of Albert Square. While taking a hiatus from the series, she starred in stage performances such as “The Vagina Monologues” and “Bedroom Farce.
Back in 2007, I unveiled my very own fitness DVD titled “Then and Now Workout”, designed to help individuals achieve their health goals just like mine. Fast forward a few years, and I found myself gracing the screens of Celebrity Big Brother in 2012, showcasing not only my journey but also inspiring others on theirs.
Lately, she featured in the BBC sitcom Motherland (in 2021), following a stint on the comedy program Mandy the previous year.
