EastEnders pulled off BBC One all week as soap is rocked by schedule shake-up – but you can still get your Walford fix
As an avid EastEnders fan, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment every time the show gets disrupted by major broadcast events like the Olympics or Wimbledon. The thought of missing even a single episode of my beloved soap opera is enough to make me sigh in frustration. But alas, such is life for us dedicated fans.
EastEnders is set for another major schedule shake-up this week.
The BBC soap’s broadcast has been interrupted this week on BBC One due to extensive coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Although it may be disappointing for EastEnders fans that the show is moving to BBC Two, the good news is that it will still be on at its regular time of 7:30pm from Monday to Thursday.
In the past few weeks, EastEnders has been shifted from its usual schedule on occasion, joining Wimbledon and the Euro 2024 tournament as reasons for the change.
At present, the Olympics occupy the entire day on BBC One from 6:45 am to midnight, leaving barely any room for other programming except for lunchtime and evening news broadcasts.

The Olympic Games are predicted to cause interruptions for the next two weeks at the very least.
Additionally, The One Show, Bargain Hunt, and Homes Under the Hammer are among other television programs that may be influenced by the coverage.
After securing a new hosting gig on Channel 4, Natalie Cassidy will temporarily step away from EastEnders.
A soap actor, aged 41, who has portrayed Sonia Fowler in the BBC series for thirty-one years, is temporarily stepping away from her iconic part to spearhead a fresh initiative instead.
According to reports, Natalie is set to host a four-part television series called “What’s The Big Deal,” where she’ll explore and discuss trendy consumer items that have gained widespread popularity.
According to a source, Natalie is planning to take a brief hiatus, similar to what several of her colleagues do when they have other commitments.
As a lifestyle expert, I believe that managers aim to provide opportunities for their top performers to shine and expand their abilities. If the logistics align well with the demanding television production timeline, they will certainly accommodate these individuals to spread their wings and flourish in their roles.
‘Natalie’s really excited to tackle the project for Channel 4. This is another string to her bow.’
Natalie will engage in conversations with professionals in the industry, scientists, and families regarding teeth whitening and ice baths for viewers to watch.

The family testers, handpicked by her, will evaluate household items and share their honest opinions on whether the prices match their value.
“Natalie is excited to have the opportunity to ask questions about essential products that we all are curious to know more about.”
As a busy mom like everyone else, I enjoy trying out new things. However, my priority is finding out which ones truly deliver on their promises and offer the greatest value for money.
