Electronic Arts has quietly released its new cooperative life simulation game, The Sims Lab: Life Together, on iPhones in the Netherlands, Italy, and Sweden. The game, formerly known as City Life Game with Friends, is the latest addition to the popular Sims franchise and recently underwent testing on Android devices in certain areas back in April.

The Sims spinoff, originally known as Project Rene, is nearing completion and will now be called The Sims Lab: Life Together. A mobile version of the game appeared after a test run, when players discovered it, and was followed by a development update in 2023. Now, players can design their own Sims and explore a city environment.

In this game, you can even participate in a virtual fashion show called Fashion Passion and play fun party games with friends, like Secret Sim. All of this helps you earn money to unlock your first apartment as a stylist. As someone who enjoyed the original Sims games but lost interest in the newer versions, this feels like a welcome return to form.

I’m really enjoying the variety of things you can do in the game, like managing a cafe, finishing quests, and finding cool new clothes at the Thrift Shop. It’s looking really good so far, and the fashion show aspect reminds me of the popular Roblox game, Dress to Impress.
