According to some recent reports, the upcoming Supergirl DCU movie has held its first test screening.

The new Supergirl movie, produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures, is coming to U.S. theaters next summer. Milly Alcock will return as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, continuing from her appearance in James Gunn’s 2025 film, Superman. Craig Gillespie is directing, and Ana Nogueira wrote the screenplay.

Some scenes were particularly strong, and Milly Alcock is receiving praise for her performance. The film features two fight scenes with Lobo, but the villain is reportedly not very impressive.

DC hasn’t officially announced how long the Supergirl movie is, so the current length is just a rumor. Since this was a test screening, the final version released on June 26, 2026, could have scenes added or removed.

Supergirl, also known as Kara Zor-El, is forced to team up with a surprising ally when a dangerous enemy attacks those she cares about. Together, they embark on a massive, galaxy-spanning quest for both revenge and to do what’s right.
