Eamonn Holmes puts on loved-up display with girlfriend Katie Alexander days after estranged wife Ruth Langsford ‘called in the lawyers to secure their £3.6m family home’

On a day out, Eamonn Holmes and his recent partner appeared deeply affectionate, just days following an update about Holmes’ ongoing divorce proceedings.

65-year-old broadcast journalist from GB’s news network, Katie Alexander, a marriage counselor at 43 years old, started dating around the middle of 2024.

Even though there had been whispers about their engagement since December of that very year, it wasn’t until last week that they officially confirmed their relationship on Instagram, following several months of private vacations and outings together.

It appears that they no longer shy away from showing their affection publicly. In fact, the mother-of-two posted several sweet photos capturing their romantic moments during a woodland outing with Eamonn.

On Friday, Katie posted some unique selfies on Instagram, taken with the presenter, who was seated in his wheelchair, alongside the couple.

In the photographs, Katie and Eamonn, each wearing sunglasses, appeared to be an overjoyed pair. At 43 years old, Katie playfully kissed Eamonn on the cheek.

The pictures showed Katie and Eamonn, both donning sunglasses, radiating happiness as a 43-year-old Katie sweetly kissed her boyfriend on the cheek.

In yet another photo, Eamonn looked radiant with joy, flashing a smile while his companion admired him affectionately.

Following recent events, I find myself expressing my affection quite promptly, and this sentiment arises just a few days after my estranged wife, Ruth Langsford (age 65), engaged legal representation to safeguard that no share of our £3.6 million matrimonial abode will be granted to me.

Back in May, fans were taken aback when reports surfaced about the separation of the previous hosts of Today’s Show.

Last summer, due to their upcoming divorce, Eamonn vacated the luxurious six-bedroom house in Weybridge, Surrey, where they had resided since 2014.

As I mentioned earlier this week, I’ve been fortunate enough to be released from my shared ownership of the property, according to The Sun’s latest report.

According to the report, it’s indicated in official records that if Ruth were to pass away, her portion of the house wouldn’t be inherited by Eamonn from GB News.

Sarah Dwight, from the Law Society, explained to the news outlet that one of the initial steps divorce attorneys take is offering their clients the choice to separate their co-ownership of the property, enabling them to pass on their portion of the house to whomever they prefer as inheritance.

This action ensures that Ruth has the freedom to determine who inherits her assets upon her passing, as opposed to all her possessions automatically going to Eamonn.

TopMob has contacted representatives for Ruth and Eamonn for comment.

Since departing from his matrimonial residence, Eamonn now resides in a luxurious high-rise apartment within Kingston, a district located in south-west London, and he currently dwells there by himself.

It was speculated that, since the presenter seems to be feeling lonely in his new residence, Katie might decide to relocate from Yorkshire and live with Eamonn.

As a lifestyle expert, I can confidently share that, while Ms. Alexander holds Eamonn in high regard, she has no immediate plans to share a living space with him, and this is something we may not see happening for quite some time.

She takes her kids’ feelings into account. In reality, their apprehensions about her relationship becoming public are significant, and she wants to avoid causing unnecessary disruption for them.

On multiple instances, they’ve crossed paths with Eamonn and have a fantastic rapport with him. For now, it seems their current situation will remain unchanged.

‘Eamonn seems so lonely since splitting with Ruth, so it’s not exactly ideal for him.’

The Irishman’s divorce woes have been compounded with his ongoing health issues.

2022 saw Eamonn requiring the use of either a wheelchair or a cane for mobility following his spinal surgery that year.

He sparked concern only last week when he fell off his chair live on air while presenting GB News.

During Eamonn’s tumble, co-host Ellie Costello exclaimed “Oh my goodness!” and then, assuring himself, Eamonn replied, “I’m fine, fine, fine. Keep going, keep going, keep going.

After a prolonged commercial interlude, Eamonn reappeared on screen, informing viewers: “The chairs here have quite wobbly wheels, to be honest, and we aren’t particularly fond of them.

Two weeks ago, I fell in my bathroom which required hospitalization and left me with a painful injury on my back. This incident came as quite a surprise to me.

‘And that hit me again right in the back. Really really sore, really sore.’

Following the two scares, Eamonn shared a heart-breaking update on his health a couple of days ago.

Sharing an old photo of himself on social media, he commented: ‘Three years ago, this photo surfaced and brought a sense of sadness – I was able to walk then. I need to work harder again.’
