Eamonn Holmes Hits Back at Trolls Accusing Him of Cheating While Hospitalized

Eamonn Holmes has responded to cruel online critics who accused him of infidelity following his unexpected hospitalization on a recent Friday morning.

65-year-old broadcast personality shared on Instagram that they were enduring significant discomfort following an accidental fall at home, acknowledging this fact.

Accompanying a photo from the ambulance, he wrote: ‘An unforeseen trip this morning… slipped in the bathroom and took a tumble. Ouch! Kudos to the Ambulance team.’

A few hours past, he posted a snapshot taken from his hospital bed, captioning it as: ‘I didn’t plan on celebrating the holiday this way… Life isn’t a walk in the park these days. Gratitude to each one of you taking care of me.’

Though my friends and well-wishers showered me with words of encouragement and kindness, some critics weren’t so understanding, choosing instead to lash out at me in the comment section, implying that I had been unfaithful.

They penned: ‘Eamonn your [sic] falling apart since you done the dirt on @ruthlangsford’.

It’s coming from the one who has ‘Be Kind, Be Nice’ in their profile!

The fan then also replied with: ‘I’m not be nasty I’m just saying since you left Ruth’. 

Others also wrote: ‘Ruth has had a lucky escape. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.’;

Since he and Ruth parted, this man seems to have faced continuous health issues. I’m just curious, what became of his recent partner? Did she grow weary of caring for him?

After moving forward with his new partner, Katie Alexander (aged 43), Eamonn has left behind his previous relationship status. Meanwhile, Ruth appears to be relishing her time as a single woman, having recently taken a trip with friends for her birthday celebration.

Apart from the reports about The Loose Woman’s findings, it is said that he also came across some messages on his computer. According to The Sun, this discovery served as a significant blow or setback for him.

The article stated: ‘Eamonn believed he was the only one at home while talking on the phone, unaware that Ruth was listening in from another part of the house. However, this realization left Ruth utterly terrified. She approached Eamonn, and it turned out to be quite a startling experience for them both.’

At the moment when it was discovered, Eamonn was unaware that Ruth was inside their home. This revelation came as an unexpected shock to Ruth, more so because she had been diligent in looking after Eamonn during his health struggles. Learning he was privately conversing with another woman was a significant blow and felt like a hard punch to the gut for Ruth.

According to a report to The Sun, a disagreement about a phone conversation took place between the two in their Surrey residence around April. But not long after, it is alleged that Ruth discovered certain messages on his computer.

The disclosure is believed to have led to their separation announcement, as it apparently was ‘the final event that caused the breaking point’.

The evening prior carried an unusual atmosphere as individuals began expressing their accolades towards me: “Eamonn, your performance was exceptional, and I’ll forever cherish the moments when you did such and such.” It felt akin to experiencing death yet remaining alive.

Two years later, he encountered a distinct health challenge when he was unexpectedly hit by shingles, posing a potential disruption to Declan’s wedding day.

In 2021, Eamonn’s chronic back pain had begun and it seemingly came completely of the blue. 

Eamonn’s pain became so intense that he needed to use a walking cane for support, but he eventually discovered the underlying problem.

He eventually discovered it was three slipped discs that affected the movement of his right leg.

On Thursday, Eamonn’s separated spouse, Ruth Langsford (age 65), had to step back from her scheduled two-hour QVC live television appearance due to falling ill with a stomach infection.

In 2017, she introduced her clothing line and appears weekly on the show, but recently shared on her Instagram Story that she won’t be able to host tonight’s episode due to a nasty stomach illness.

Last December 2021, Eamonn explained to The Sun that his issues with a compressed sciatic nerve affected not just him, but also his loved ones who had to assist him with daily chores due to his condition.

He confessed, “This year has proven challenging for me. For quite some time, I’ve struggled with walking, even being completely incapacitated at times, which not only affected me but also those close to me significantly.

Due to my inability to bend over, it’s often Ruth Langsford who has to fetch things for me, and I understand that my sons feel a bit awkward about my mobility issues.

His battle with chronic back pain started after a dislocated pelvis led to three slipped discs.

After his operation, he shared that even with physical therapy, his limited mobility persists, making it difficult for him to perform basic tasks. As a result, he’s compelled to depend on others, an experience he referred to as heart-wrenching or soul-crushing.

This morning, he posted on the platform previously called Twitter: “I put in a lot of effort at my physical therapy session today, it was exhausting. However, I’ve spent the last 5 hours sitting comfortably, and now I’m feeling guilty because I haven’t been productive.

Not being able to move independently and having to rely on others makes it challenging for me to perform even basic tasks. To maintain my mental well-being, I sense a need to incorporate some more foot exercises into my routine.

Following his spinal operation, he also experienced weakness in his left leg. About two weeks post-surgery, Eamonn unfortunately tumbled backwards down a flight of 18 stairs at his Weybridge residence. He ended up falling onto a hard stone floor at the foot of the staircase.

The severe accident had the potential to claim his life, but remarkably, he survived with only a fractured shoulder and weaker legs.

Previously, the host of This Morning openly acknowledged that breaking his shoulder in a fall was a significant obstacle.

Approximately a year following his spinal operation, Eamonn scheduled a spine and neck elongation treatment for September 2023, as he had difficulty walking.

Eamonn openly acknowledged that he was still struggling following his back surgery, stating: “I can’t jog, I can’t stroll, I can’t participate in any activities – all I can do is sit and watch television and consume food.

Last year, I had issues with my back that I haven’t fully recovered from yet. To be honest, it’s not ideal, and I must admit it’s not a healthy situation.

Eamonn talked about using a wheelchair during December, and he also warned about potential travel issues during the Christmas season on his morning talk show.

Over the holiday season, Eamonn reluctantly acknowledged that he would be taking the train instead of his usual mode of transportation.

He mentioned that the train might just be a dream, but currently he is burdened with a wheelchair, making it quite challenging as he heavily depends on others to board and disembark. It’s incredibly hard for him to manage this process.

‘I just threw that in… it’s not a concern to anybody, but there we go.
