They had been together for 27 year and married for 14.

They went out for food and drinks at the Greek Mediterranean restaurant Gaia, in Mayfair, London.
Ruth seemed delightfully entertained during her night out, playfully posing for a casual photo with a captivating look, dressed elegantly in a white blouse and black pants.
A week after making her successful comeback to Loose Women, following her separation from her spouse Eamonn Holmes, the television host enjoyed an evening out.
To kick off her return performance, Ruth warmly greeted the crowd: ‘Greetings for your initial Loose Woman encounter this week; I’m thrilled to spend time with you!’
Her co-star Coleen Nolan added: ‘Can I just say, I am so so happy you are back.’
As the crowd cheered for her return, panellist Janet Street-Porter shouted: ‘Thank God! Thank God!’
‘I was left with her and her,’ she joked gesturing to Coleen and Brenda Edwards.
After the announcement in May that the couple were parting ways, she decided to take a prolonged hiatus from the ITV show. Upon her return to the studio, she was greeted with thunderous applause.
Ruth made her debut on Loose Women 24 years ago, however, she no longer serves as its anchor since April.
Since their separation, Eamonn has been keeping busy at GB News without disclosing any details about his divorce proceedings.
