Musiala joins Bellingham as the game’s joint cover stars
EA has revealed that Jamal Musiala will share the cover of EA Sports FC Mobile with Jude Bellingham for the upcoming season. This is Musiala’s first time on the game’s cover, while Bellingham returns after being featured last season.
These two talented young English midfielders have quickly become well-known while playing for their clubs and national teams. To celebrate them becoming the new faces of FC Mobile, EA previously gave all players free, high-rated (102 OVR) special ‘Moments’ player cards for both of them.
Get ready! The FC Mobile 26 update and a special Anniversary event are launching this Thursday! 🎉 We’ll be doing maintenance for about 4.5 hours, starting at 12:30 AM UTC. Tune in to FC Mobile LIVE during maintenance for a full preview of everything new. 🔗

Carry over your team to the new Season without the fear of a Reset
No Season Reset
As we’ve shared before, EA has confirmed that your Ultimate Team progress won’t be reset this year. You can keep building and improving your squad with the players you love, and everything you’ve earned so far will carry over.
Here’s a look at what’s coming in FC Mobile! Good news – there won’t be a season reset in 2025, and your players’ overall ratings (OVR) could soon exceed 110. This means you can keep building your dream team and won’t lose any of your hard-earned gems, coins, players, or progress!

For the second time ever in FC Mobile, we’re starting a new season without resetting everything – and it looks like this will be how we do things from now on! That means when the new season updates, you’ll keep your current team, all your players, and all the resources you’ve already collected.
All of your Coins, Gems, FC Points, and Training Transfer Points will be available when you move to FC Mobile 26.
Player OVRs going to 113 and above
We have more news in addition to the season reset delay. Player Overall ratings (OVR) will be increased to 113, beginning with the Anniversary event that starts with Thursday’s reset.

With new events on the horizon, we anticipate player ratings will soon exceed 113 OVR. This means players currently rated 108-109 OVR will likely become less useful, as newer players will have better stats and the potential to improve further. However, this could create a larger gap between players who spend money on the game and those who don’t.
Introducing a fresh batch of Icons and Heroes
FC Mobile 26 is kicking off with a fresh roster of Icons and Heroes! EA has announced that legendary Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović will be the face of the game on console. Joining him are nine other Icons, including Toni Kroos, Andrés Iniesta, Dunga, Oliver Kahn, Marcelo, Giorgio Chiellini, and Francesco Totti, all set to appear in FC Mobile 26!
FC Mobile is getting 7 new Heroes! Keep an eye out for these players: Mario Mandzukic (Croatia), Jan Koller (Poland), Cesc Fabregas (Spain), Michael Carrick (England), Esteban Cambiasso (Argentina), Marouane Fellaini (Belgium), and Giorgio Barzagli (Italy). Some of these players will be available during the Mighty Winter Week 3 event, with the rest coming in the After Daybreak event.

EA has announced that several new players, including Jan Koller, Mario Mandžukić, Cesc Fàbregas, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick, Andrea Barzagli, and Esteban Cambiasso, will be added to the game in future events. We reported on this back in April, when these players were being tested in FC Online, the online mode for EA Sports FC 25.

Introducing Team Badges
Team Badges are a new feature in the game designed to improve your core team. By collecting and equipping these badges, you can increase your team’s overall rating (OVR) and boost specific attributes. The more you level up a Team Badge, the bigger the improvements you’ll see.

Build out your team by filling badge slots, monitor how close you are to completing your collections, and get bonus rewards at the end of the season by finishing badge or player sets. You can also complete player groups to earn extra rewards and improve your players’ stats.
You can earn Team Badges by collecting Player Items from the same event and club. These badges are a new feature, replacing the old Team Chemistry system. Previously, you needed players from the same club and event to boost the stats of your team, based on their positions. Now, collecting the right items earns you badges instead.
New Rank Up Points will be replacing Universal Rank Players
We’re completely changing how the Rank Up system works! Instead of using Dudek and Mascherano, we’re introducing a new currency called Rank Up Points. Remember, leveling up your rank will still only improve your Player’s Overall Rating (OVR), and player stats will continue to be improved through training.
Maybe this?
— Madridistaa (@MadridistaaFC) September 18, 2025
So, I’ve learned it takes at least 100 Rank Up Points to actually level up my player. Good news though – all those Mascheranos I’ve been hoarding aren’t going to waste! They’re letting us trade them in for these new Rank Up Points, so I can finally progress. That’s a relief!
Train and Level up your Players fully without Ranking them up
This update separates Training levels from Ranks. Now, you can train a player up to Level 30 without needing to max out their Rank first. Keep in mind that training improves a player’s stats and abilities, but doesn’t change their overall OVR rating.
Revamped Matchmaking Lobby
FC Mobile’s new season includes a redesigned pre-match experience for PvP Division Rivals! Before each Division Rivals match, you’ll now see your captain and your opponent’s captain displayed face-to-face, showcasing their team kits in a dedicated lobby.

The lobby now displays your Division rank and creates a more exciting game-day feel. Hone your skills and prepare for a thrilling football experience! You can select your home or away kit to prevent color clashes, and the match won’t start until both players confirm they’re ready.
Gameplay Enhancements
Based on player feedback, EA is making significant gameplay changes in the upcoming season update. These changes start with improvements to the referee system. Referees will now be more fair and better at spotting strategic fouls, leading to a more realistic experience. Also, successfully completing skill moves against defenders won’t automatically result in a foul being called, better representing the physicality of the game.

We’ve adjusted “Lofted Through Passes” so they’re more challenging to use. Now, you’ll need to aim carefully to reach a teammate on the move, and the old tactic of quickly scoring with a lofted pass at kickoff no longer works. We’ve also improved “Jog Dribbling” to be quicker and more responsive, and refined “Crossing” to better connect with “Header” accuracy, making your crosses more effective when used strategically.
We’ve improved passing on the ground in Division Rivals, making it easier to control the ball when receiving passes near the goal. Plus, we’ve added new match introductions during kickoff and halftime, and fresh goal celebrations to enhance the excitement!
That wraps up the update for FC Mobile 26! The EA team will keep listening to your feedback to make the game even better and more balanced.
