EA Sports FC 25 To See Return of Diego Maradona This Week After Legal Dispute
The iconic Argentine footballer Diego Maradona is making a comeback in EA Sports FC 25 towards the end of this week. He was previously removed from the series due to a legal issue, starting with FIFA 22 about three years back.
It appears that the complex dispute over Maradona’s rights has been settled, focusing on whether his likeness can be used in football games like EA Sports 25. Reportedly, EA entered into an agreement in 2021 with Stefano Ceci, who was formerly Maradona’s manager. However, the court decided that Ceci lacked the legal authority to make such a deal.
Well, it looks like I won’t be able to play with the legendary Maradona in this version of FIFA anymore, as EA had to pull him from the game. But you know what? He’ll be back, gracing our screens again on the 14th of February next year, most likely as a Legend card in Ultimate Team for EA Sports FC 25! Unfortunately, EA hasn’t given us all the details about Maradona’s return just yet, but it sure seems like a logical assumption. So, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how they bring back this footballing icon in our favorite game!
