EA Sports F1 25 My Team 2.0 Deep Dive Trailer Showcases the ‘Biggest Overhaul’ Since F1 2020
Today, EA and Codemasters debuted the initial installment in a series of in-depth videos about EA Sports F1 25. These videos provide glimpses into the fresh approach they’re taking with the My Team mode, which they’ve creatively referred to as ‘My Team 2.0’.
In a significant transformation similar to that seen in F1 2020, My Team 2.0 will dramatically alter your team owner role, focusing more on the authentic management aspects. This means you’ll be responsible for managing your Formula One team’s essential facilities on a daily basis, and also overseeing or hiring and supervising your two drivers. During race weekends, you’ll even have the opportunity to compete as one of your drivers.
In your new role, you’ll be instrumental in leading and overseeing the Engineering, Human Resources, and Corporate sectors. Within Engineering, a distinct Research and Development division will offer more adaptability, while in Human Resources, an innovative contract system for drivers will empower you to mold the team’s future composition. This entails direct interactions with drivers to negotiate terms; however, be cautious about confidential discussions as they could potentially jeopardize agreements if leaked.
Apart from handling your workforce, it’s crucial to maintain the right size that aligns with cost-effectiveness and efficiency. In the end, it’s Corporate where you’ll establish your financial plan, paying close attention to seasonal expenditures to prevent surpassing the Budget Limit. Additionally, a Decal Editor will provide a wider range of design choices for your team’s appearance, contributing to a more distinct visual identity.
Beyond that, My Team 2.0 will introduce a fresh, continuously updating Team Headquarters environment where you can expand your team. There are also enhancements to the progression system, with Achievements from the Driver Career now merged into My Team. The greater the number of Achievements you earn, the more attractive your team becomes to potential drivers. Furthermore, you or your AI opponents may recruit new Driver Icons, and you even have the option to add an additional 11th team to the grid – either Braking Point’s Konnersport or APXGP from the upcoming Apple Original F1 movie.
Explore further insights about My Team 2.0 in the video below, with a second comprehensive look coming up on 17th April. The highly anticipated EA Sports F1 25 will hit Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on 30th May.
