Dynasty Warriors: Origins Trailer Confirms January 2025 Release Date

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit, the trailer for Dynasty Warriors: Origins has me feeling like a kid in a candy store all over again! The Three Kingdoms era has always been one of my favorite settings in gaming, and the prospect of stepping into the shoes of an amnesiac martial artist is intriguing, to say the least.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force recently unveiled a fresh trailer for “Dynasty Warriors: Origins,” setting January 2025 as the release date for the upcoming installment in their popular 1 vs. 1000 series. This new game introduces a nameless hero who takes on the role of the main character.

In the midst of turmoil within the Three Kingdoms, Origins places you in the shoes of a wandering martial artist suffering from amnesia. This mysterious figure is unwillingly drawn into a significant conflict set in ancient China. As you actively participate in the narrative and witness historical events firsthand, you’ll be tasked with making critical decisions while keeping a secret that could significantly alter the fate of the Three Kingdoms.

In some instances, you’ll find yourself as a lone figure in the heat of battle, an unnamed champion. On other occasions, you’ll rally alongside esteemed Musou commanders like Lu Bu and their troops, launching attacks against vast enemy armies. During these skirmishes, you’ll give orders to your units and devise different strategies across the battlefield.

The action-packed game ‘Dynasty Warriors: Origins’ is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on January 17th, 2025. Pre-orders for the standard edition and the ‘Dynasty Warriors: Origins Treasure Box’ are currently open. The Treasure Box includes the game along with a poster, an original soundtrack, and a special ‘original book’.
