Dynasty Warriors M is shutting down on February 20, 2025
Story Highlights
- Dynasty Warriors M is an action-strategy game officially licensed by Koei Tecmo, that offers the Dynasty Warriors story in a fresh format.
- The developers are not offering any refunds for the game.
- You can use any remaining purchased or free Gold in the in-game shop until the end-of-service date.
As a long-time fan who has witnessed the rise and fall of numerous gaming titles, I must admit that the news of Dynasty Warriors M shutting down after just a year leaves me feeling a tad disheartened. It’s like watching a firework show that fizzles out too soon, robbing us of the grand finale we were eagerly anticipating.
Nexon has revealed that the action strategy title, “Dynasty Warriors M,” developed by Koie Temco Games, will be closing on February 20, 2025. This game, which was released only last year and is a spin-off from Dynasty Warriors 9, will cease operation after only one year of availability.
Nexon is shutting down Dynasty Warriors M after just a year of service
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “In Dynasty Warriors M, I find myself immersed in an action-strategy world filled with 50 unique Officers, each boasting their own strategies, hailing from five distinct factions. The game offers a breathtaking map spanning across 13 regions and over 500 stages, all set in the historic era of the Three Kingdoms. What truly sets this game apart is the chance to reenact pivotal moments like the Yellow Turban Rebellion and the Battle of Luoyang.
The End…

Sadly, I have to inform you that the team has announced through their official forum and Facebook page that the game “Dynasty Warriors M” will cease operations on February 20, 2025. In their own words, they say, “‘Although we’ve appreciated your support, we are sorry to announce that Dynasty Warriors M will be shutting down its service on Feb 20, 2025.’
Players are asked to use their Premium Gold before time runs out as no refunds will be made
The developers have turned off in-app purchases within the game, and I regret to inform you of additional news. Although you can still utilize any remaining gold (either purchased or free) in the game’s store or other locations until February 20, 2025, refunds will not be given during this period. Notably, Premium Gold will be used up first, followed by the free Gold, so ensure you use it before the game concludes.
You still have time to savor playing Dynasty Warriors M until it’s taken offline permanently. Once the shutdown date arrives, you won’t be able to access or download the game anymore, following the usual process.

It’s disappointing to notice an abundance of shutdown notices from both established and smaller game studios this year. The unfortunate part is that most of these games don’t last beyond a couple of years, despite having been positively accepted by the gaming community.
