Dying Light: The Beast Announced, is a Standalone Dying Light 2 Spin-Off Featuring Kyle Crane

As an ardent fan of survival horror games and someone who has spent countless hours navigating the treacherous landscapes of post-apocalyptic worlds, I can hardly contain my excitement for Dying Light: The Beast! Thirteen years have passed since Kyle Crane’s harrowing ordeal, and now it’s time to seek vengeance against those who wronged him.

As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that Techland has unveiled Dying Light: The Beast – a gripping, over 18-hour solo journey set within the post-apocalyptic landscape of Castor Woods, our old tourist hotspot. Our hero, Kyle Crane, is back!

Thirteen years after Crane underwent grueling experiments, The Beasts finds you pursuing your tormentors on a vengeful quest, only to realize that there’s more at risk than initially thought. Alongside zombies, human factions wage war, and a cryptic creature lurks within the forest.

As Crane (once again voiced by Roger Craig Smith), you’ll strive to rescue innocent lives and earn the title of a “legendary hero”. By tapping into the zombie DNA within your bloodstream, you can harness tremendous, powerful abilities reminiscent of beats. You can even team up with three other players in co-op mode if you prefer! Take a peek at the game by watching the announcement trailer below.

The game titled “Dying Light: The Beast” is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Remarkably, those who own the “Dying Light 2 Stay Human Ultimate Edition” will not need to pay extra for this new release, as it was initially planned as a DLC for Dying Light 2 before expanding significantly in scope.
