Season 38 of Dancing with the Stars was a hit, largely because the cast was so well-loved. While Robert Irwin ultimately won, Andy Richter quickly became a fan favorite. He wasn’t the strongest dancer, but he and his partner, Emma Slater, kept viewers entertained with humorous videos. Richter is continuing to generate buzz even after the show, recently sharing a kiss with dancer Alan Bersten.
Okay, so Richter and Slater always seemed incredibly close, like two peas in a pod. But seeing a video of them after Andy apparently kissed Slater’s boyfriend definitely made me do a double-take! Thankfully, it’s all in good fun – it looks like just a bunch of stars goofing off at an L.A. Kings game. They’re clearly joking around, and it’s a relief to see their friendship is still solid, even after that little stunt.

What really stands out to me in this video is Jan Ravnik’s joyful reaction in the background. It’s clear he was thrilled by what was happening, and I’m sure many others felt the same way. A big shout-out to Alan Bersten and Andy Richter for playfully participating and creating such a memorable, viral moment.
Dancing With The Stars Fans Want Terri Irwin To Compete, And Robert Irwin Shared His Honest Take
After spending time together on Dancing with the Stars, Bersten and Richter are likely to become even closer, especially since they’re both scheduled to appear on the 2026 DWTS tour. Perhaps we’ll see some romance blossom at the tour stops!
The most disappointing thing about this popular video is realizing we won’t be seeing Andy Richter on Dancing regularly when the show returns next year. It’s rare to have a celebrity contestant as funny and engaging as he was, and he’s set a high standard for future seasons.
Alan Bersten always seems to enjoy working with the dancers on Dancing with the Stars, especially given his close friendship with athlete Ilona Maher. He’s also become known for wearing creative and over-the-top costumes each season, so I’m excited to see what he comes up with next year.
Andy Richter will likely continue to appear in various Hollywood projects as opportunities arise. While I’d enjoy seeing him on more reality TV shows, his options are shrinking now that he’s finished competing on Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer. Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test seems like one of the few remaining possibilities, and it would undoubtedly be even more challenging than his DWTS training. But for now, let’s remember his recent season fondly – it was truly excellent.
