The popular series Yellowstone has grown with a new sequel, introducing new characters to the ongoing stories of Rip and Beth. One of the actresses joining the show recently shared some behind-the-scenes details about filming, including what she enjoyed most about being on set.
Natalie Alyn Lind, who plays Oreana Jackson on Dutton Ranch, recently told Page Six she enjoys the adventurous side of her character – like driving a classic Bronco and taking charge. She described Oreana, Carter’s (Finn Little) love interest, as a strong and dynamic woman who fully commits to every scene she’s in.
Dutton Ranch Star Discusses Working with Annette Benning in New Yellowstone Spinoff
Lind enjoyed filming Dutton Ranch, which debuted on Paramount+ on May 15th. She said she found playing her character rewarding. In the series, her character, Carter, meets Oreana soon after relocating to Texas with Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser).
The second episode of Dutton Ranch surprised viewers by revealing Oreana’s family history: she’s the granddaughter of Beulah Jackson (played by Annette Bening), and someone is plotting something involving her.
Lind also loved working with Annette Bening, calling her a personal favorite. She was particularly impressed by Bening’s skill, saying it was a privilege to share scenes with her and witness how carefully she develops her characters. Lind feels incredibly fortunate to have had the experience.
Viewers will need to tune in to see how the relationship between Carter and Oreana develops. The new season premiered on May 22nd and will release new episodes every Friday. With a total of nine episodes, the season will conclude on July 3rd.
Dutton Ranch Puts a New Spin on Fan-Favorite Yellowstone Characters
As a big Yellowstone fan, I’m really enjoying all the new characters they’ve introduced with the Dutton Ranch storylines. It’s especially interesting seeing Beth and Rip start fresh in Texas and build a new team. One of the new faces is Lind, who plays Oreana Jackson, and Hart Denton is playing Chet over at the 10-Petal Ranch. It feels like a whole new chapter for the series!
Even if we don’t see more connections to Yellowstone, viewers are already enjoying the new Dutton Ranch spinoff. It’s been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an 88% rating, and critics praise it for successfully continuing the style of Yellowstone in a new setting. The show is also proving to be very popular, continuing the trend of success for everything Taylor Sheridan creates.
New episodes of Dutton Ranch air Fridays on Paramount+.
