Dua Lipa celebrated her boyfriend Callum Turner‘s birthday by posting a glamorous photo of them on vacation to Instagram on Sunday.
Dua Lipa, 30, and her boyfriend Callum seem very happy together, as she recently shared a peek at their playful relationship. They’ve been dating since January 2024.
Dua posted a sunny photo of her and Callum on a boat to celebrate his 32nd birthday.
She posted a cute photo of them having a fun night out, both wearing identical white T-shirts.
Alongside the post, she penned: ‘Happy birthday to my always and forever.’
Dua recently shared her experiences with the challenges of long-distance relationships after a fan reached out for advice about moving away for a job.
Calvin Harris, known for his hit song ‘One Kiss’, recently became an advice columnist for his website, Service 95. He was asked how to maintain close relationships with family and friends who live far away.
Dua was the ideal person to consult, fresh off a year spent on her Radical Optimism tour. The tour took her around the globe, which meant being separated from her fiancé, Callum, and family back in London.
She replied that she’d become quite skilled at handling this, particularly when she was on tour.
‘I’ll start by saying this: it does get easier with time, but it never stops being hard.
It’s hard being separated from family. It’s not just missing holidays or birthdays—it’s the everyday little things that you share that really make you feel disconnected when you’re far away.
Despite admitting things can be tough, Dua finished with a hopeful thought: ‘Relationships might evolve when people are apart, but love itself doesn’t disappear.’
‘If anything, it can feel even stronger when you don’t get to see each other all the time.’
The popular singer recently discussed her own past relationships after a fan wrote to her about their sister struggling with self-esteem following a breakup.
Dua, who previously dated Anwar Hadid and Isaac Carew before her relationship with Callum, said that breakups are always difficult, both personally and when watching someone you care about go through one.
It’s natural to want to cheer someone up when they’re feeling down, often by telling them how great they are or to ignore the negativity. However, that’s not always the most helpful approach right away.
‘Sometimes the best thing you can do is just be there and be reliable.
Allow her to express her negative feelings, even if she uses strong language, without attempting to cheer her up or offer solutions. Just let her feel what she’s feeling.
Going through a breakup is unsettling, and allowing yourself time to process those difficult emotions can be surprisingly helpful for healing.
Dua shared on her website that she’s excited to put her advice-giving skills to the test, as people have often told her she’s good at it.
I really enjoyed reading all of the entries, so thank you to everyone who participated!
‘It was genuinely a lot of fun, and I hope my advice helps you in some way.’
