Dua Lipa reveals she has cancelled an upcoming concert over safety concerns: 'It truly pains me'

As an ardent fan who has followed Dua Lipa’s career since her breakout days, it is truly disheartening to hear about the cancellation of her Jakarta concert. I have waited eagerly for this moment, having attended several of her electrifying performances before, and the anticipation was palpable.

Dua Lipa has announced she has cancelled an upcoming concert over safety issues.

On November 9, the 29-year-old performer was scheduled to take the stage in Jakarta, Indonesia, during the Asian segment of her Radical Optimism concert tour.

In a statement made on Friday, the artist admitted that her scheduled performance will unfortunately not take place and expressed deep regret over the cancellation.

I regret to inform you that I cannot fulfill my commitment to perform in Jakarta on Saturday, November 9, as I am deeply saddened to say.

I’m currently in your wonderful nation, eager to put on a show, but unfortunately, I must inform you that the event cannot proceed as planned due to safety concerns regarding the stage setup.

‘Your refunds will be processed at the location where you made the purchase. I genuinely appreciate each one of you, and I eagerly look forward to reuniting with all of you for more joyous singing and dancing as soon as we can do so safely together.’
