Dua Lipa partied the night away as she celebrated being granted her Kosovo citizenship.
On Friday, the singer known for “One Kiss,” aged 29 and born in London to parents of Kosovan-Albanian descent, received citizenship from President Vjosa Osmani of Kosovo.
To mark the occasion, Dua had a fantastic time at the three-day Sunny Hill Festival, an event she helps coordinate with her dad, Dukagjin Lipa. They both enjoyed a memorable night out there.
On Saturday, she posted a series of dance photos on Instagram, clearly thrilled after receiving her new citizenship and enjoying a lively evening.
In an instant, Dua captured a delightfully intimate scene with her fiancé, Callum Turner. She was seated comfortably in his lap, and he gently enveloped her head with one hand.
Dua was joined by a group of friends as she let her hair down while dancing to DJ Fatboy Slim.

In a post alongside it, she wrote: “I became a citizen last evening, followed by an amazing night at Sunny Hill Festival! And what a great way to celebrate – @officialfatboyslim!! I’m absolutely loving life right now!
Speaking about her new citizenship, Dua said she ‘feels like my two sides are now one’.
The artist expressed that it fulfills a dual nature I’ve long harbored within. This nation holds deep meaning for me personally, as well as for my loved ones.
In his remarks, President Osmani praised the singer as a significant cultural symbol in our nation’s past, stating that it was a privilege to bestow Dua with citizenship.
As an overjoyed admirer, I couldn’t help but share my excitement about the stunning photos from the event that took place in Kosovo on Friday. These images portrayed a radiant Dua, grinning ear-to-ear, standing alongside President Osmani – a truly unforgettable sight!
Other photographs showed the singer greeting fans and receiving gifts from them.
On X, President Osmani expressed: “Duah and Kosovo have always been indivisible. Not only on the largest platforms, but also in the hearts of countless people, she has powerfully, honorably, and elegantly conveyed our tale.
‘Our gratitude is endless for everything Dua has done, and continues to do for Kosovo’.

The Levitating singer was greeted at the ceremony by a children’s choir, who sang her hit song.
Also in attendance was UK Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves.
Dua now holds citizenship for Britain, Albania and Kosovo.
In the year 2022, she received Albanian citizenship from President Bajram Begaj as a recognition of her efforts in promoting Albania globally by means of music.
I’m currently immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Kosovo, attending the annual Sunny Hill Festival for three days. This stunning nation holds a special place in my heart, which I frequently express through my experiences here.
She even helped set up a charity that focuses on helping vulnerable communities in Kosovo.
The renowned individual hails from London, having been born there in 1995. His parents, Anesa and Dukagjin, are immigrants originally from Kosovo, Albania.
At the tender age of five, Dua began her musical journey, inspired greatly by her father, a previous member of a rock band who also sang and played the guitar.
At age 14, she began sharing her songs on YouTube. Her first studio album dropped in 2017. In the year 2019, she was honored with a Grammy Award for Best Emerging Artist.
British singer Rita Ora is also from Kosovo, but does not have citizenship.

In 1991, Rita along with her family relocated to the United Kingdom. During that time, Rita attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School situated in London, where she developed a strong passion for singing at a rapid pace.
She opened up about her family history in an interview with Louis Theroux for his interview series.
In my own words, let me share a fascinating detail about myself: My mom, Vera, is a psychiatrist by profession, while my dad, Besnik, hails from the field of economics in Kosovo. However, due to the looming threat of persecution, he was compelled to seek refuge elsewhere.
Once in the UK, Rita’s dad opened a pub while Rita flourished in the arts.
As someone who has shared my experiences of growing up as a refugee in the UK, I can attest that I frequently felt like a stranger, an outsider during my formative years.
