Drummer of influential rock band faces sickening new charges in child pornography case
Previously, the drummer from renowned Canadian indie rock band The New Pornographers, has faced additional troubling accusations concerning a child pornography investigation.
44-year-old Joe Seiders was taken into custody in April following allegations that he secretly filmed an 11-year-old boy inside a restroom at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in California.
Now, two more minors have come forward and slammed Seiders with more unsettling accusations.
The drummer is now facing additional accusations involving inappropriate behavior towards a minor through coercion or intimidation, soliciting a minor for creating child pornography, owning child pornography, harassing or molesting a child, and breaching privacy laws.
Last Monday, April 7th, this year, it was alleged that Seiders secretly filmed a child using the bathroom at the Chick-fil-A in Palm Desert, using his mobile phone.
Two days subsequent, the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station got a second complaint, this time at the same eatery, about a man trailing young males into and out of the restroom.
When deputies arrived they found Seiders and he was arrested.
Following the execution of search warrants, the Sheriff’s Office connected Seiders to both events as well as other offenses, such as possessing child pornography.
In the statement, it was disclosed that incriminating evidence has been found linking him to two alleged events, as well as other offenses, such as owning illegal child pornography, where I am involved.

The New Pornographers has yet to address the new allegations against the drummer.
After Seiders’ initial accusations grabbed attention, his fellow musicians issued a collective statement announcing that they had severed ties with him as their drummer.
In a joint Instagram post shared on Thursday, they expressed that everyone in the band was completely taken aback, deeply saddened, and dismayed by the allegations against Joe Seiders, prompting them to cut off all connections with him immediately.
‘Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by his actions.’
Seiders has been a part of the Canadian indie rock band since 2014.
This musical collective, known as The New Pornographers, was established in 1997. Its present lineup includes Neko Case, Carl Newman, John Collins, Todd Fancey, and Kathryn Calder.
Their former members include Destroyer frontman Dan Bejar and Grammy nominee Kurt Dahle.
New Pornographers performed at Coachella in 2007 and 2011.
When their longtime drummer Dahle left in 2014, he was replaced by Seiders.
Seiders toured with the band and performed on their three most recent studio albums.
