On Valentine’s Day, Drake paused his 14-concert tour of Australia and instead held an exclusive listening event at the Caterpillar Club on Pitt Street, Sydney, where he serenaded his fans privately.
38-year-old Canadian rap artist opted for a low-key performance at a small bar on Friday, playing tunes from his fresh release titled “Some Sexy Songs 4 U.
At an exclusive gathering for his freshly released album, he performed together with his collaborator PARTYNEXTDOOR, serenading the fortunate few who were privy to their joint performance.
The Instagram fan page posted images and clips showing the music producer spinning discs at a DJ station, followed by him presenting five fresh tunes to his audience.
At the end of the spontaneous performance, Drake spoke to his enthusiastic fans: “Enjoy yourselves tonight! Have a great time and party hard tonight.
Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day! We adore you. Today, we thought it would be nice to serenade you for a moment or two. However, this wasn’t a full-fledged performance. If you’d like to experience a real concert, just let us know!
It comes after Drake made an Aussie fan’s dream come true during his Australian tour last week.
On a stage at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, the rapper picked out Sally Soumaya, one of the concert attendees, for some unique focus.
On Thursday, expecting mother Sally posted a video on TikTok where Drake disclosed the gender of her upcoming baby.
The video commenced showing a picture of Sally and her companion posed in front of the location, brandishing a sign saying, “Unveil my gender.
The call-out struck a chord with Drake, who happily obliged the fan request.
Drake told the crowd during a break in his performance, “This young lady is holding up a sign requesting a gender reveal.
When Sally handed over a note revealing the baby’s sex towards the stage, Drake couldn’t hide his thrill, feeling privileged to be included in the big reveal.
He expressed amazement, saying, “This could be transformative. What are your thoughts about it?” followed by gratitude towards Sally for allowing him to share the significant news.
I’m positively thrilled to share this exciting news, it seems our little bundle of joy could be the next great entertainer! This revelation points towards a male child, who knows, maybe we’re welcoming a mini Drake into the world!
He then revealed he would be giving the new mum a financial head-start.
Drake announced that Sally is expecting a son and he himself will be giving her 50,000 Australian dollars,” this was met with cheers from the audience.
Captioning the video, Sally revealed the experience would live long in her memory.
‘I will never recover from this! Drake does my baby’s gender reveal,’ she wrote.
