Drake posts video of his flooded mansion during Toronto’s historic summer storm

As a dedicated fan of Drake, I can’t help but feel concerned for him after yet another eventful week at his Toronto mansion. It seems that Mother Nature and unexpected visitors have conspired to make his life anything but peaceful.

Perhaps it’s now appropriate for Drake to consider relocating? On Tuesday, the 37-year-old rapper was among the countless Canadians impacted by a summer storm that hit the Toronto area harshly, leading to extensive flooding and power failures in Canada’s largest, most densely populated urban center.

Drake, the rapper known for “God’s Plan” and “Hotline Bling,” shared a video on social media showing muddy water flooding a luxurious room in his Bridle Path mansion. He jokingly commented, “I hope this is an Espresso Martini flood.”

On Tuesday, Drake, a Grammy award-winning artist, shared a clip on his Instagram Story. In the video, a person could be seen shutting a door as water flooded into the room. Meanwhile, Drake waded through several inches of water, splashing his way towards another door.

Musicians’ representatives declined to comment on The Times’ query straight away on Wednesday.

I was astounded to learn from the Toronto Sun on Wednesday that some parts of the Toronto and Region experienced over 3.9 inches of rain during the historic storm the previous day, as reported by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. Consequently, several rivers within the Greater Toronto Area continue to exhibit increased water flows due to the heavy downpour. This situation has resulted in perilous conditions along river banks, making them slippery and unstable.

Parts of the Don Valley Parkway, a road that connects the northern part of the city to the downtown area, were submerged and shut down due to heavy rainfall, as reported by the Associated Press. Additionally, several other major roads and Toronto’s Union Station were affected by the flooding. Lakeshore Boulevard, which follows Lake Ontario, was also impacted and closed according to the police. Toronto Fire Department reported rescuing 14 people from the flooded highway.

In Toronto, Canada’s largest city, CNN reported that more rain poured down in just four hours on a recent Tuesday than the typical monthly total for July rainfall.

In May, Drake’s famed mansion, referred to as “The Embassy,” was the location of three consecutive days of police interventions due to two reported intrusions and a shooting incident. These occurrences came during Drake’s high-profile feud with rapper Kendrick Lamar, who had been exchanging criticisms and diss tracks for several weeks.
