  • The feat positions Drake behind only The Beatles in the all-time Billboard 200 No. 1 rankings, with the Fab Four holding the record at 19

Drake has made history on the Billboard 200 chart. He released three albums – ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR – and they all debuted in the top three spots simultaneously on the May 30, 2026 chart. This is the first time any artist has accomplished this in the chart’s 70-year history, redefining what Drake can achieve commercially and setting a new standard for success in the age of streaming.

Drake released three albums on Friday, May 15th. While fans had known about ICEMAN for months, the other two, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR, were only revealed during a live stream the day before. Despite the short notice, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR impressively debuted at numbers 2 and 3, selling 114,000 and 110,000 units each, which demonstrates Drake’s large and active fanbase.

The album ICEMAN is a huge success, both in terms of sales and its place in music history. It sold 463,000 units in a single week (ending May 21st), making it the second-best-selling album of 2026 so far and the biggest for an R&B or hip-hop artist. Most of those sales—449,000 units—came from streaming, totaling 462.2 million streams of the album’s 18 songs, which is the highest streaming total for any album this year. Only BTS’s ARIRANG had a bigger debut week in 2026, selling 641,000 units in April.

Drake’s new album, ICEMAN, is his 15th to reach the top of the charts. This achievement gives him the most No. 1 albums of any solo male artist and any artist in the R&B/hip-hop genre, putting him in a tie with Taylor Swift for the overall lead among solo artists. Only The Beatles have had more No. 1 albums, with 19. Given Drake’s current success, it seems increasingly possible he could eventually break that record.

For the first time in almost a year, the top four albums on the Billboard 200 chart each sold over 100,000 equivalent album units. Following Drake’s three albums, Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide dropped to No. 4 after spending three weeks at the top, earning 101,000 units. The strong performance across the entire top 10 shows a particularly competitive week for music, with Drake’s success happening alongside several other high-performing albums.

Ella Langley’s Dandelion moved down to number 5, selling 98,000 copies. Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem is at number 6 with 84,000 units sold. Michael Jackson appears twice on the chart: Thriller at number 7 (63,000 units) and Number Ones at number 8 (60,000 units). LUCKI reached the top 10 for the first time with Drgs R Bad debuting at number 9 with 51,000 units, and BTS’s ARIRANG completes the chart at number 10, selling 42,000 copies.
