Nacon and Eko Software, the creators of Warhammer: Chaosbane, just released a new trailer for their upcoming game, Dragonkin: The Banished. The trailer highlights the game’s online co-op features. Dragonkin: The Banished will be available later this month on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (through Steam).
Today’s new trailer details how players can team up to experience the game’s story and later-game challenges. This cooperative, top-down action RPG first launched in Early Access in March 2025 and will officially release on Steam on March 16th, with console versions coming on March 19th.
The online co-op trailer and more details can be found below, via Nacon.
A big update for Dragonkin: The Banished launched on February 25th, introducing a new way to play with the beta release of its online co-op mode for PC players. Soon, players on consoles will also be able to team up with friends – groups of 2 to 4 – to experience the main story and endgame content. The full 1.0 version of Dragonkin: The Banished arrives on PC March 16th and on consoles March 19th.
The game’s online co-op lets you team up with friends – parties can have between two and four players – to tackle the dragon-related challenges. Everyone gets their own unique rewards, and you can trade them with your teammates.
Montescail is a lively city built by its players. As you gain experience, you help the city grow and improve, unlocking benefits for everyone. You can enjoy the entire game, including challenging endgame content, with friends and other players.
Dragonkin: The Banished lets you play with a friend right beside you on the same screen, in a local co-op mode. You can even expand that to a four-player game by adding two more friends online – combining both local and internet play seamlessly.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, you play as one of four dragonhunters tasked with saving humanity from a dragon invasion. The game offers a lot of depth for players who enjoy building and customizing their characters, with many different ways to improve their abilities. You’ll develop your hero using the Ancestral Grid, a unique system where you connect fragments found throughout your journey. The city of Montescail serves as a central hub, providing resources to help you refine your strategy. Alongside your dragon companion, you’ll experience a compelling story and enjoy a robust endgame filled with challenging, epic battles.
Dragonkin: The Banished is out now in Early Access on Steam. It will be fully released on PC on March 16th, and on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 19th, 2026.
