Webzen has announced that pre-registration for its new open-world action RPG, Dragon Sword, is now available on Android and iOS in South Korea. The game, previously known as Project D, was first announced in 2021 and is being developed by Hound 13. A closed beta test was recently conducted earlier this year.

Defeat dragons and become a legend in the world of Orbis. The game takes place in a land once saved by a goddess, but now lost to mystery and turmoil. I’m excited to discover ancient ruins and learn the truth about the dragons that have returned.

Players can try real-time character switching and enjoy endless adventures

I’m really excited about the fast-paced combat, especially the aerial attacks, knockbacks, and being able to switch between characters on the fly. I can picture building a team of mercenaries and chaining together smooth combos during battles. The idea of instantly swapping between characters like Johnny, Castella, and others sounds like a lot of fun.

The game is clearly inspired by popular titles like Genshin Impact, but it stands out with its enjoyable combat and charming style, all built using Unreal Engine 5. It looks really promising, offering a mix of adventure, strategic battles, cute characters, rideable mounts, and cross-platform play. I’m especially excited because it’s being developed by Hound 13, the team behind Hundred Soul.

Dragon Sword is available for pre-registration on Android and iOS devices. You can sign up now through the Google Play Store or App Store. The App Store listing indicates the game is scheduled to release on March 31, 2026. That’s a while from now, but I’m willing to wait if the game lives up to its potential.
