Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. is commemorating the 10-year milestone of their cherished action-puzzle game, DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE, by launching a unique two-part campaign to mark the occasion. This special anniversary event will spotlight six exceptional characters to add a touch of excitement to the festivities. DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE 10th Anniversary Campaign Overview

DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE takes place within the Dragon Ball universe, showcasing stunning 2D artworks and animations. In this turbulent timeline, legendary characters from Dragon Ball Z to Dragon Ball Super such as Super Saiyan God SS Goku, Vegeta, Freezer, Jiren, and others engage in thrilling anime-style combat.

Over the past ten years since its launch on January 30, 2015, this game has continually entertained fans with beloved characters, their powerful special moves, engaging Dokan Events, World Tournament competitions, and numerous other features.

This year marks its decade-long existence, it unveils six main characters, a revamped user interface, a more streamlined Dokkan mode, and so forth.

In honor of this event, they collaborated with NBA athlete De’Aaron Fox for a unique advertisement where he discusses the charm of the sport and shares a special greeting to commemorate the milestone. This marketing effort has been divided into two segments, adding even more anticipation.

The 10th Anniversary Campaign introduces Super Vegito and Super Gogeta

For our 10th Anniversary celebration, the event has been divided into two distinct phases. In the first phase, we’ll see the appearance of Super Saiyan Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta (Angel). These characters have a unique ability to merge, forming none other than… Super Vegito!

In the second part, we meet the angel forms of Super Saiyan Vegeta and Super Saiyan Goku, who have the ability to merge into a powerful form known as Super Gogeta.

At present, both Super Saiyan 3 Goku (GT), also known as Golden Great Ape, and Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta from Part 1 are playable characters in the game. For Part 2, we’ve added Super Saiyan 2 Gohan (Youth) and Frieza (Final Form) (Angel) along with Goku to our roster.

The Dokkan Festival in conjunction with the Top Legendary Summon Carnival has begun! This exciting event offers numerous summon opportunities, as well as ongoing missions, celebratory festivities, and other promotions to mark the anniversary. Enjoy!

The game has introduced a new skill called Reversible Exchange!

In addition to Super Vegito and Super Gogeta, this anniversary has also introduced a fresh ability called Reversible Exchange. With this new ability, you can select one of the two characters that seems most suitable for the current battle situation. Once the conditions for activation are satisfied, you have the flexibility to swap characters at any point during the fight.

As a fan, I’m excited to share that the Reversible Exchange feature is now accessible for some iconic characters! You can swap powers between Super Saiyan Goku (Angel) and Super Saiyan Vegeta (Angel), as well as Frieza (Final Form) (Angel) with Goku. This means you can experience the unique abilities of each character, making battles even more exciting!

A few important game improvements

To celebrate our 10th Anniversary, our team is introducing various enhancements, including an upgraded battle interface. Developers emphasized that the main objective of this update was to revamp the overall User Interface. This refresh aims to make battles more intuitive and visually appealing, creating a more engaging experience for a more immersive gaming feel.

The changes made ensure that characters within the game now battle in a manner consistent with the series, resulting in a more lively and engaging animation style.

Additionally, distinct combat movements for characters were initially presented prior to obtaining the Ki Sphere during the 10th Anniversary.

Despite previous campaigns such as the “Worldwide Celebration Campaign” not entirely meeting the expectations of devoted fans, this Anniversary campaign has been warmly welcomed.
