Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Will Have a Launch Roster of 181 Characters
As an old-school Dragon Ball fan who has been following this series since its early days, I must admit that my jaw dropped when I saw the whopping 182 character roster for “Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO“. It’s like a dream come true, and I can hardly wait to relive those iconic battles from the Saiyan invasion all the way up to the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super.
Bandai Namco unveiled the complete 182-character lineup for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, which marks the highest number of characters in a Budokai Tenkaichi series game. A fresh trailer further showcases the game’s Episode Battle and Custom Battle modes, with Producer Jun Furutani offering an explanation.
In Episode Battle, you can re-experience conflicts involving characters such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Jiren, Future Trunks, Goku Black, and Frieza. This includes recounting events like the Saiyan invasion and culminating in the Tournament of Power from Dragon Ball Super. Meanwhile, Custom Battle offers unique scenarios crafted by the game developers.
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to design personalized battle scenarios complete with pre- and post-combat sequences, custom effects, and characters of your choice. After crafting your unique Custom Battle scenario, you can share it with the community. Here are the most recent character additions for Sparking! ZERO. Enjoy!

The game titled “Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO” is scheduled to debut on 11th October for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. Pre-ordering either the digital or Ultimate Edition will provide three days early access starting from 7th October. Additionally, a playable character, Goku (Mini), who appears in the upcoming anime “Dragon Ball Daima,” will be included.
