Out of all of Goku’s Super Saiyan transformations in , this might be the wildest yet.
The newest figures in the Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts line feature Goku in his various Super Saiyan transformations. Plus, the Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts Miniature Collection 2 will be available in Japanese Gashapon capsule toy machines starting this May.
The new collection of mini-figures includes standard adult Goku, plus versions like Super Saiyan 3 Goku (Angel), a smaller Goku figure, and Super Saiyan 4 Goku (Mini) all based on the Dragon Ball Daima series.
Super Saiyan 3 Goku Unleashed in New Dragon Ball Figurines
The new Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts Miniature Collection 2 features four figures: Goku, Super Saiyan 3 Goku, a miniature Son Goku from the DAIMA arc, and a miniature Super Saiyan 4 Goku from the DAIMA arc.
This new Goku figure showcases the character at his most iconic, drawing from both the original Dragon Ball Z series from 1989 and his recent appearance in Dragon Ball Daima. It highlights Goku at different ages – as an adult and as a child – and features his famous Super Saiyan forms.
I first saw Super Saiyan 3 Goku appear in episode 245 of the original DBZ. Later, when I watched Dragon Ball Z Kai, I saw it again in episode 133 – they called it “Hold Majin Buu in Check! Limit – Super Saiyan 3!!”
This transformation stands out from his past ones because of the remarkable feat he achieved.
Goku’s brief return from the afterlife turned into a major event, much to his frustration. He didn’t want to be brought back to life, believing his continued existence would only endanger those he cared about.
To keep the revived Majin Buu from hurting anyone on Earth – particularly Trunks, who was frantically looking for the Dragon Ball radar – Goku transformed into Super Saiyan 3 and used nearly all his power to distract the creature.
Goku chose not to deliver the final blow to Majin Buu, but he convinced Buu to eliminate the evil Babidi, with Mr. Satan inadvertently taking credit for the deed.
I remember seeing it first in Dragon Ball GT, but it was great to see it come back in Dragon Ball Daima’s finale – and this time, it felt official! They even gave King Gomah a significant power boost for its return.
I was SO excited when Kid Goku finally went Super Saiyan 4! He’d been working towards it for ages, and it was all thanks to the amazing Neva, this really powerful old Namekian. It was an incredible moment to witness!
Even though Super Saiyan 4 Mini struggled against Giant Gomah, Goku and his friends were able to return to their adult forms thanks to a wish granted by the Demon Realm Dragon Balls.
