As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when I hear about the lack of DLC for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You see, I was one of those fans who eagerly devoured every bit of content that came out for Dragon Age: Inquisition, from Jaws of Hakkon to Trespasser. The thought of not getting the same treatment with the new game is a tad disappointing.
It seems that BioWare won’t be offering additional content in the form of DLC for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as they have reportedly shifted all their attention towards Mass Effect 5. However, smaller updates will still be made available to keep the game running smoothly, but no large-scale expansions are planned at this time.
According to a report by Rolling Stone, they spoke with Creative Director John Epler who shared no significant information about the upcoming Mass Effect game. However, he did clarify that there are no current plans for Dragon Age: The Veilguard DLC.
Upgrades and enhancements, along with improvements to overall user experience, are set to arrive for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Just like many games today, this is a common approach. While Dragon Age: Inquisition has benefited from additional content such as Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent, and the Trespasser story epilogue, it’s important to note that the upcoming game may not receive the same level of DLC content.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
