Dragon Age: The Veilguard voice cast revealed

Dragon Age: The Veilguard voice cast revealed

As a long-time fan of the Dragon Age series, I couldn’t be more excited about the latest addition to the roster of compelling companions in The Veilguard. The recent reveal at Summer Games Fest gave us a sneak peek into the new characters, but now we get to put names and voices to their faces – and what a lineup it is!

A Dragon Age game wouldn’t be complete without an engaging ensemble of intriguing companions, and The Veilguard is no different. At Summer Games Fest, we were given a sneak peek into the new characters, but now we have the opportunity to learn the voices behind their captivating visages – which may also aid us in deciding whom to romance.

Ike Amadi lends his voice to Davrin, the alluring Grey Warden who carries an endearing baby griffon in “Mass Effect 3” and “Insomniac’s Spider-Man.” Jee Young Han brings Bellara, the passionate Veil Jumper on a quest for ancient mysteries, to life in both “Perry Mason” and “Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts.” Neve, the Tevinter detective with hidden rebel tendencies, is voiced by Jessica Clark from “True Blood.”

In Star Trek: Picard, Jin Maley lends her voice to Taash, an intrepid dragon hunter and the initial portrayal of a female qunari character (excluding Felicia Day’s Dragon Age persona from the Mark of the Assassin DLC). Nick Boraine, known for his work in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Black Sails, provides the voice for Emmrich, a refined necromancer with Critical Role’s Matt Mercer as his skeletal accomplice. Completing the cast is Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West) who brings to life Lucanis, a ruthless Antivan assassin.

As a big fan of video games, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing some truly exceptional voice actors bring my favorite player characters to life. Among them are Alex Jordan, Bryony Corrigan, Erika Ishii, and Jeff Berg. Each one has left an indelible mark on me with their captivating performances in “Cyberpunk 2077,” “Baldur’s Gate 3,” “Apex Legends,” and “Battlefield 1” respectively.

As a long-time fan of BioWare’s Dragon Age series, I’m thrilled to hear that some beloved characters are making their return in the upcoming games. Brian Bloom brings Varric Tethras, the dwarven storyteller and merchant, back to life with his charisma and wit. Gareth David- Lloyd delivers a heart-wrenching performance as Solas, the tragic mage. And Ali Hillis does justice to Scout Harding’s journey from a shy recruit to a confident and strong companion, possibly even becoming a love interest!

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to release sometime in 2024.
