As a seasoned gamer with a lifetime of immersive adventures under my belt, I can confidently say that Hans Zimmer’s theme for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is nothing short of spectacular. Having grown up on a diet of epic fantasy and breathtaking scores, this piece hits all the right notes.
Hans Zimmer has unveiled the musical theme for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which is set to be BioWare’s upcoming grandiose role-playing game in the realm of fantasy.
Zimmer is undeniably quite renowned. His compositions grace films like True Romance, Interstellar, The Lion King, and numerous others. He’s even the creator of the catchy tune that introduces Netflix shows, as well as an extended version played during Netflix movies.
Apart from his current project, he’s got previous experience with numerous video games as well. These include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and several installments from the Assassin’s Creed series.
Regardless, Zimmer has unveiled his latest composition that will undoubtedly excite any fantasy fans with a penchant for goblins. As anticipated, it carries a dark, brass-heavy tone, is grandiose and majestic to match its theme. While it may not reach the level of weightiness found in some of Zimmer’s cinematic pieces, it remains an excellent piece to listen to.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is out 31st October, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
