In simpler terms, it can be said that Chris Robshaw (a rugby player), La Voix (known from Drag Race), and Ellie Goldstein (a trailblazing model and influencer) are the seventh, eighth, and ninth celebrities officially participating in the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing.
On the BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, broadcasted on Wednesday, it was revealed that three famous personalities have agreed to take part.
According to La Voix, performing for royalty, RuPaul, and Simon Cowell has been an incredible experience, but the idea of dancing in front of millions on live Saturday night television fills me with both excitement (and a fair amount of fear).
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I am thrilled to embark on a journey with Strictly, a national institution that I hold in high regard. With the excitement brewing, all I can muster is a heartfelt wish of good fortune for my partner. May our collaboration propel me from being a contestant on La Voix to gracing the dance floor on La Danse. Wishing us both the best of luck!
Chris admitted he was stepping well out of his “comfort zone” by signing up for the show.
He stated: “I’m venturing way beyond my usual comfort zone here! I aim to elevate my father’s dancing skills to unprecedented heights, and my mother is eagerly anticipating pulling me into her Zumba classes.

‘Let’s see if a rugby sidestep works in the Cha Cha Cha.’
In simpler terms, Ellie, a versatile personality, is recognized as both a fashion model and an actress. She also holds significant influence, making history by being the first model with Down syndrome to appear on the cover of the renowned British edition of Vogue magazine.
She expressed her immense excitement about being part of the cast and professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing this year, saying she’s as thrilled as someone who just saw the moon for the first time.
For such a long time, I’ve cherished this series that I watch, and being a part of it now is an experience that seems almost too good to be true, like living in a dream.
Despite knowing it’ll be tough, I’m eager and excited to take on this adventure, adding sparkle, style, and a touch of enchantment to the dance floor. Here we go with our Strictly experience!
George Clarke is the sixth celebrity contestant announced for Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
The well-known YouTube personality and podcast host is expected to step into the renowned ballroom as Strictly Come Dancing makes its comeback on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in September.
As a devoted admirer, let me tell you that I’m utterly smitten with George Clarke – or should I say, George Clarkey! This extraordinary British figure is more than just a YouTube sensation; he’s a podcast maestro and social media superstar who captivates millions worldwide. His influence is undeniable, and I can’t help but feel a strong connection to his passion for architecture and design.

George, who was born and brought up in the United Kingdom, started dabbling in video production during his teenage years. He soon realized that humor and sincerity were potent tools for resonating with people across the globe.
Ever since then, he’s significantly grown a successful digital presence, boasting millions of fans on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, all attracted by his genuine persona and quick-witted humor.
Apart from that, he additionally shares hosting duties on The Unnecessary Hotline Podcast, a show that has gained such widespread popularity it has resulted in a chain of live performances throughout the United Kingdom.
Upon embarking on Strictly Come Dancing, I found myself uttering words I never thought I’d say – “I’m doing Strictly!” The truth is, I’m as clueless as a newborn calf in a dance studio, but the excitement of diving headfirst into this adventure, with its fair share of potential stumbles, is palpable.
The news was revealed on BBC Radio 1’s Going Home Drivetime Show this afternoon.
George boasts an immense fanbase on TikTok, numbering approximately 152 million users, and also maintains a substantial presence on Instagram, with around 679 thousand followers.
They frequently collaborate, often appearing together on their shared podcast, alongside TikTok star Max Balegde.
Earlier today, it was revealed that Balvinder Sopal, a well-known actor from EastEnders, will be the fifth celebrity to compete on Strictly Come Dancing in 2025.
On Tuesday morning during Good Morning Britain, it was unveiled that the 46-year-old actress, known for her role as Suki Panesar in the BBC soap, is part of the show’s cast.
Balvinder is set to team up with a former Love Island champion, a renowned actor from Doctor Who, and a celebrated football icon, all three being the most recent celebrities announced for Strictly.
Expressing her delight about being involved in the production, Balvinder shared: “Becoming a part of Strictly had always been a cherished dream of mine, yet there was no evidence it would ever come true.
Working on EastEnders and participating in Strictly Come Dancing feels like living a dream come true! I’m so thrilled, it’s hard for me to express my feelings, but let me tell you, I’m absolutely ecstatic about the opportunity to dance across that ballroom.
Simultaneously, while conversing with Richard Arnold from the EastEnders set, the actress shared that she has tried dancing before but isn’t confident about her skills on the dance floor and wonders if she would be any good there.

She explained: ‘I can’t stop butterflies. Every time I think about it, they just go, so, yeah.
As a passionate enthusiast, I’ve found myself delving into the captivating world of ballroom and Latin dance. It’s more than just a pastime for me; it’s an enchanting escape that stirs my soul. When one is truly smitten with something, the joy seems to overflow effortlessly, and this is certainly true for me.
‘So I’ll definitely enjoy it. I don’t know if I’ll be any good!’
Back in 2019, Balvinder, an accomplished actor with a diverse background that includes theater, radio, film, and TV, made his debut on the long-running series, EastEnders.
Over the past six years in Walford, I’ve found myself deeply immersed in a series of captivating narratives. From Suki’s complex love affair with Eve Unwin, to being a key member of ‘The Six’, and navigating the tumultuous relationship with my villainous spouse, Nish, each story has added another layer to my Walford experience.
Before gracing Albert Square with my presence, I’ve had the privilege of being featured in numerous blockbuster series such as Call The Midwife, Doctors, and Waterloo Road, showcasing my versatility as an actor.
Additionally, it was revealed on Monday night that Dani Dyer (age 29), Alex Kingston (age 62), and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (age 53) – a former Love Island winner, an actress, and a sportsman respectively – are all set to dance this year.
They follow Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, who was the first star announced.
This year, Danny Dyer’s daughter, who is now married to Jarrod Bowen, gained notoriety in 2018 when she won a £50,000 prize on an ITV2 dating show alongside Jack Fincham, propelling herself into the spotlight.
Dani expressed that having the chance to appear on Strictly Come Dancing ranks as the second most incredible experience she’s had this year!
‘I feel very very blessed and cannot wait to get my dancing shoes on.’
Doctor Who’s Alex notably appeared in US drama ER from 1997 to 2005 alongside George Clooney.
In addition, she frequently appeared in the series Doctor Who, portraying River Song – a character who was the romantic partner of Matt Smith’s version of The Doctor, and the daughter of Amy Pond (played by Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (portrayed by Arthur Darvill).
During his tenure on the BBC science fiction series, Alex temporarily returned to her character. Additionally, she has lent her voice for several audio editions within the franchise.
Previously, Alex mentioned her intention to join Strictly Come Dancing, disclosing that she and her good friend Sarah Hadland, who participated in the competition last year, had talked about it.

In 2019, Sarah Hadland mentioned that we both expressed our desire to participate in Strictly Come Dancing.
After finding out that she’s a professional ballet dancer, I exclaimed, “Wow, that’s not right!” Consequently, I can’t compete during her season.
During a conversation with hosts Roman Kemp and Alex Scott, the actress playfully hinted at her upcoming role by saying: “My movements aren’t deceiving.” This is a paraphrase of the original quote “My hips don’t lie,” which carries a similar meaning but uses slightly different words for a more natural and easy-to-understand sentence.
In simpler terms, the former striker for Chelsea and the Netherlands, who also coached England, expressed his eagerness for the upcoming task.

He mentioned that dancing in a ballroom instead of a football field is an unfamiliar experience for him, but he’s excited to take on a new and entertaining challenge!
‘Bring on a new type of footwork, with hopefully no own goals.’
For two decades, the man who is a father of four had a successful career as a professional footballer, playing for Leeds and Middlesbrough. He decided to retire from the sport in the year 2008.
In a new series, Aikines-Aryeetey, famously known as Nitro, was the initial star confirmed to participate. He previously competed in the special Christmas episode that aired last year.
The truth about his participation was unveiled to CBBC Newsround audience members, as the BBC initially announced that the initial stars joining the event would only be disclosed later on in the day.
In a playful twist, at the age of 36, Aikines-Aryeetey, famed for Gladiators: Epic Pranks, disguised himself as renowned choreographer Nicky Trott and paid a visit to the Newsround studio. The disguise was in place to discuss his latest venture – a scientific study on the advantages of dance.
Despite his disguise, Newsround presenter Jenny Lawrence soon uncovered the true identity behind the conversation.
Later on, Aikines-Aryeetey revealed the genuine purpose of his visit: to announce his participation in the upcoming season of “Strictly Come Dancing”!
Aikines-Aryeetey is a renowned athlete who has won multiple gold medals for Team GB in sprinting events, and is also known for his appearances on the television show Gladiators.

Since his adolescence, he has been a top-tier sprinter in the UK, achieving an unprecedented feat by securing gold medals in both the 100m and 200m races at the World Youth Championships. Furthermore, at the tender age of 17, he was recognized with the 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
I can’t contain my excitement! I, a diehard fan, am ecstatic to announce that Aikines-Aryeetey has not just won gold once, but twice! First, at the European Championships, and then again at the Commonwealth Games in the exhilarating 4x100m relay. This athlete’s achievements are simply unparalleled!
He’s participated in two Olympic Games, earning the title of three-time European Champion, and holding two Commonwealth Championship titles as well.
2023 saw Aikines-Aryeetey debut as “Nitro” on the popular BBC show Gladiators, and more recently, he danced alongside Nancy Xu during the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
Upon taking part in Strictly Come Dancing, Aikines-Aryeetey expressed enthusiasm, stating: “After the Christmas Special, I was so captivated that I simply couldn’t resist returning! I am thrilled to be a part of the Strictly family during this series, and I am more than ready to pour all my energy into it!
“I’ll bring a lot of enthusiasm to get the dance floor jumping! Here’s hoping I catch on to the moves just as fast as I do on the running track.
It emerged on Sunday that Natalie Imbruglia and Delta Goodrem could potentially be involved in the upcoming show, as talks between them are underway.
The latest report indicates that discussions are underway for both renowned Australian actors to make an appearance, while it’s rumored that another ex-Neighbours star, Stefan Dennis, could also join them.

According to a source, discussions have reached a stage where various outcomes are possible. If both famous individuals agree to participate, it would be considered a significant achievement for the program.
Delta and Natalie are expected to add an element of style and excitement to the show, and they are among the most highly anticipated contestants for this year.
As a devotee, I can’t help but imagine the Strictly dance floor transforming into an Aussie soap opera scene if all three of my beloved Neighbours stars grace it with their presence. It would truly feel like stepping onto Ramsay Street itself!
The upcoming series on Strictly has faced a succession of scandals prior to its comeback, among which is the disclosure that the broadcasting company engaged a legal team to investigate claims about two individuals involved in drug use.
During the investigation into drug-related incidents, it was additionally alleged that one of the cast members was under suspicion for consuming alcohol during work hours, as the crew detected a scent of alcohol on their breath.
It’s been reported that a pair, whose identities remain undisclosed, were said to have used an illegal drug, often classified as Class A. Furthermore, it’s been noted that one of these individuals associated with Strictly Come Dancing has a reputation for excessive drinking.
The media is currently reporting that junior team members were instructed to monitor their colleagues during last year’s performance, specifically looking out for indications that they might have been drinking alcohol while on the job.
Over the weekend, a staffer also claimed they were offered cocaine by one of the show’s stars.
As an overly enthusiastic admirer, I’d share: “I spilled the beans to The Sun about my behind-the-scenes experiences! After wrapping up the live show at Elstree, the real party begins. We keep the good times rolling with drinks and substance use until as late as 3 or even 4 am. The smoking area outside is a bustling hub of activity. It’s not uncommon to see some taking cocaine there.
It was stated by him that the use of drugs was prevalent on the show to such an extent, that when he discovered a questionable bag of white powder, a nonchalant senior producer instructed him to put it on their desk. Remarkably, this incident did not even prompt a raised eyebrow among the staff.
The employee added that the annual special performance of the show, held at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, was a particularly lively and extravagant event filled with merriment and revelry.
At an after-show gathering, a celebrity offered me cocaine. As the night progressed, numerous individuals decided to return to the hotel. The event was exclusive, only for the cast and crew. It lasted until 5 am, and in some cases, continued until 6 am – it was absolutely wild! Everyone seemed energized, and their eyes gleamed with it.
As a committed adherent, I can assure you that we at BBC have well-defined procedures and guidelines for addressing any significant grievances brought to our attention. I wholeheartedly invite anyone with concerns to reach out to us directly. Under the circumstances, it would not be fitting for me to provide further comments.
Amidst a prolonged span of controversy, startling accusations have surfaced against both the BBC and Strictly within the last year and a bit.
Approximately seven months after leaving the show due to personal matters, Amanda Abbington alleged last July that professional dancer Giovanni Pernice exhibited behavior towards her that was unnecessarily harsh, cruel, and mean while they were partnered on Strictly.

Immediately upon hearing the allegations, Giovanni dismissed them outright, while an investigation conducted by the BBC in September found no evidence supporting her accusations of physically abusive or threatening behavior.
Upon releasing their report on Giovanni’s conduct, the BBC found him not guilty of the gravest accusations involving physical aggression. However, they did confirm instances of verbal abuse and harassment instead.
The BBC apologized to Amanda due to allegations of verbal intimidation and misconduct. However, Giovanni expressed satisfaction that the report failed to uncover any instances of aggressive or harmful conduct against him.
In another location, the show faced a critical moment when Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans made a questionable joke while rehearsing for the Strictly tour in January.
He employed a crude sexual double entendre and was involved in an inappropriate “straying hand” episode with dance partner Katya Jones, which appeared to involve her releasing his hand from her lower waist area during their performance on the show.
Following the BBC’s examination of his behavior, it was determined that his radio contract for the show would not be renewed by the management.
In May, the television personality publicly announced that he would not be extending his year-long contract, which rolls over annually, after undergoing a thorough four-month examination following some inappropriate remarks he made while participating in Strictly.
In other news, MasterChef’s host Gregg Wallace was let go from his position due to the validating of over 40 complaints against him, which resulted from an investigation conducted by the BBC.
Although John Torode, a fellow actor, was dismissed after 20 years due to allegations involving the use of the offensive N-word, he maintains that he has no memory whatsoever of this incident.
More recently, there has been talk of potential scrutiny towards Naga Munchetty, as allegations of workplace bullying against her by a junior coworker have surfaced and caught the attention of BBC management.
The presenter of BBC Breakfast, who is 50 years old, is currently under review as managers contemplate progressing ongoing complaints towards a full-fledged inquiry, according to The Sun’s report.
According to a source, senior figures were informed by multiple coworkers about her tough and intimidating conduct on both the morning program and her Radio 5 Live broadcast, causing them concern.
