Dr Disrespect gets left out to dry in Deadlock as all his teammates quit the match
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that watching Dr Disrespect‘s first Deadlock match was a rollercoaster ride, to say the least. The man has graced us with countless hours of entertaining gameplay across various titles, but this time around, it seemed like Lady Luck had decided to take a vacation.
Dr Disrespect was left all by himself in his first Deadlock real match ever.
Yesterday, while streaming Deadlock for the first time on September 11th, I found myself in a tough spot when my entire team bailed out during our initial match, leaving me to hold down the fort solo.
Initially, the two-time player declared he’d explore Deadlock. Following the tutorial and experimenting with various heroes in bot games, he ventured into an authentic six-versus-six match. Yet, as soon as the game commenced, one of Dr Disrespect’s teammates perished and departed the game shortly after a few minutes. Consequently, everyone except Doc abandoned the match, as shown below.
After noticing the situation, Dr Disrespect remarked, “I seem to be the lone player here.” Subsequently, he decided to leave the current match and move on to another one.
It’s uncertain whether everyone abandoned the Deadlock match immediately after the first player left, or if they did so because of allegations against Dr Disrespect involving inappropriate messaging to a minor while he was still a Twitch partner. Many people have expressed that they would quit the game themselves if they were teamed up with Dr Disrespect.
How did the rest of Dr Disrespect’s Deadlock matches go?
Following the initial challenging encounter, Dr Disrespect persisted with Deadlock gameplay for several additional hours, but no notable events ensued. However, The Doc expressed his positive feelings about his inaugural session.
Dr Disrespect shared that he genuinely enjoys the game, despite it not perfectly matching his preferred playstyle, prior to moving on to Escape from Tarkov.
It’s likely that Dr Disrespect will spend more time playing Deadlock in the upcoming weeks due to his apparent enjoyment of it. Although he’s been embroiled in controversy recently, leading to lost sponsorships, his live streams on YouTube continue to attract a substantial audience. For instance, his Deadlock stream garnered over 15,000 concurrent viewers and almost 800,000 views at the time of writing this.
