Dr. Chris Brown will be temporarily hosting The Morning Show in place of Larry Emdur while he’s busy working on The Chase.
On Tuesday, the Australian veterinarian and television host, aged 46, stepped into Larry’s role for the Channel Seven program, and he is set to fill in for a few mornings during the coming weeks.
Instead, Larry chose not to abandon his position without first presenting Chris with a comprehensive guide on acing the job, disclosing his daily routine for achieving success on the well-liked morning program.
Kylie Gillies told her new host, “It seems that Laz has given you a unique present to aid you since it’s your debut on our small program.
This morning, Chris mentioned that he found a makeshift notebook in his changing area, titled “Larry’s Morning Show Preparation and Routine.
As a dedicated follower, here’s how my day was outlined in the booklet: From 9am to 10am, I was instructed to maintain an engaged demeanor; at exactly 10:05, I was to order coffee; at 10:30am, I should nod in agreement to anything Kylie said; and lastly, I was tasked with reserving a restaurant for lunch at 11:00am.

Between 11:15 and 11:45, you should back up whatever Kylie is saying. During the interval from 11:50 to 11:55, see if you can think of an excuse not to attend the post-show meeting. At exactly 11:59, remember to express your gratitude to Kylie for putting on such a fantastic show.
Larry has hosted gameshow The Chase since its tenth season, which aired in 2021.
Instead, due to scheduling conflicts between the well-liked quiz show and morning news update, Dr Chris is temporarily standing in for Larry, the regular breakfast host. However, Larry will make occasional appearances on selected mornings.
Rumors emerged in November suggesting that Dr Chris was considering a return to Channel Ten after a challenging initial year at Seven.
Last year, I made a dramatic shift to the competing channel when I decided to hang up my hosting duties on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia – yes, that’s right, I’m talking about myself, the devoted vet fan in you!
Brown earned a hosting spot for his renovation show titled “Dream House,” and also secured a co-host position alongside Sonia Kruger on “Dancing with the Stars” following his move.
However, according to a source within the industry, the switch to Seven Network didn’t result in the impressive ratings boost that network executives had anticipated.

‘Dream Home was supposed to be a staple for at least three years,’ they said.
A robust television show with the potential to compete alongside popular titles such as The Voice Australia, Farmer Wants a Wife, and My Kitchen Rules.
‘It wasn’t expected to malfunction, and discussing the issue with the television vet wouldn’t have been an easy talk.’
In November, it was reported by Daily Mail Australia that there were no intentions from Seven Network to feature Brown’s reality renovation series in their 2025 program schedule.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t hide my disappointment when I learned that the network bigwigs weren’t swayed by my beloved TV star’s performance. This revelation, unfortunately, led them to take drastic action, cutting the show short after only one season.
‘It wasn’t the worst ratings, but it wasn’t anywhere near the show everyone had expected.’
According to insider reports at Channel Seven, it appears that Brown may have found himself in over his head as he didn’t seem to be coping well. Unlike before, he no longer had the support of his colleagues or co-host Julia Morris to lean on.
‘It was like the safety net was taken away,’ another source added.

In order for Dream Home to guarantee another season, Seven might have to invest additional funds to attract a well-known figure as his co-star.
‘Like a Carrie Bickmore or a Shelly Craft.’
Seven subtly inquired to gauge potential interest, adding, ‘However, it seemed that no one was responding positively during the preliminary conversations.’
Following an average initial year, Seven eventually lacked the self-assurance that their investment would yield profits.
‘Who knows if having a strong female next to him would have saved the show?
Everything appeared overly hazardous, so they concealed the auditioning procedure and chose not to discuss it during the Upfronts.
