Dr Chris Brown left speechless by flying condom at fifth Ashes Test at Sydney Cricket Ground

Dr. Chris Brown had trouble focusing on the cricket match this week.

The 47-year-old celebrity veterinarian spent Wednesday at the Sydney Cricket Ground, watching the fourth day of the Ashes Test between Australia and England.

But something unexpected quickly caught his eye – and the attention of many other cricket fans – diverting it from the game itself.

Dr. Chris posted a video on Instagram of himself at the famous stadium, set to the song “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys.

Instead of watching what was happening, he was completely captivated by a ballooned condom drifting in the wind.

As Dr. Chris filmed the inflated safety barrier moving around the stadium, it was clear that many in the audience were watching it too.

‘Can one condom distract an entire stadium… of adults?’ he asked in the clip’s caption.

Dr. Chris described a bizarre incident at the SCG cricket ground: a condom flew across the field during a match, capturing the attention of the 40,000 spectators – more so than the game itself.

Answering his original question, Chris wrote: ‘So… yes. Yes, it can.’

The funny post quickly received a lot of comments, and Married At First Sight’s Duncan James even confirmed the story Dr. Chris had told.

The groom shared that the moment received the strongest reaction of the day, and Chris agreed, calling it a standout scene.

Actress Lisa McCune jokingly commented, ‘Playing it safe,’ and another social media user added, ‘People say Australians have no culture,’ seemingly in response to the same thing.

The person who claimed responsibility for throwing the condom into the water also commented on the post to admit it was them.

They explained they were the team who launched the special balloon, and gave a shout-out to their friend Murray, calling him a legend for making it happen.

Dr. Chris shared a cheerful post following an outpouring of support from Australian and international celebrities for the victims of the tragic Bondi Beach attack, which claimed the lives of fifteen people last month.

The celebrity veterinarian shared a photo of the full moon over Bondi Beach, revealing his distress over the disruption of the once-peaceful community.

‘I’m still in disbelief. It’s a tragedy that’s so unfathomable for this community that’s all about shared moments of joy… and peace,’ wrote the star of long-running series Bondi Vet.
